Is there a way to implement load and save states in Touhou? It's the only way I think I could get a pseudo spell practice in the later games. I need some fucking training in UFO, I swear to god what was ZUN thinking when he made that Lunatic.

Why is UFO so freaking hard.

I took a break from it to play 6-11, which I still haven't 1cc any of them but have gotten close.

UFO is just rage, sure I get lots of lives from the ufos, if I don't die catching one. But the bosses are still harder. Stage 4 bosses in MoF and SA are just as hard as UFO stage 3.

Just play the stage practice. The stages themselves are pretty tough too. UFO Lunatic is easily the hardest thing ever. The only Lunatic other than EoSD (because I never play it) that I can't 1cc.
