there's so many rock circle albums not getting uploaded anywhere. the thing is that they werent even that obscure in or japan, it's that they have their own circle with the touhou doujin circle where everyone knows each other. circle like ごりら公園, モジャン棒 and of course 鉄腕トカゲ探知機 is pretty well known in niconico/japan but you barely see anyone talk about them in the west.

I really want to like Shibayan’s electronic stuff but I can’t, which is weird because the Bossa Nova albums are some of my favourites. His other stuff feels far too repetitive and it’s not catchy enough to justify that especially with how long his songs can get. A lot of his songs sound the same which is a problem I have with BeatMARIO but in his defence most of his stuff isn’t a loop for six minutes with the melody spliced in somewhere.

That's pretty interesting, I have just about the opposite tastes. Love nearly everything electro Shibayan does, but I'm incredibly picky with the bossa nova. There's one or two per album that I like and will go back to once in a while, but I've never really sat down and decided "hey, I wanna listen to Toho Bossa Nova 6 all over again".
Think at the end of the day it just boils down to taste and finding the stuff that really clicks with you.Try Syrufit, Esquaria, some of XL Project's stuff as suggested by anon, Zytokine, EastNewSound, Rolling Contact's Hardcore Barrage series... this assuming you're still interested in electronic-adjacent stuff. Kuroneko Lounge's House Sets don't drag on as much as Shibayan, worth listening to at least once too.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy lately. I love the actual sound of Shibayan's electronic stuff, the dirty electro house style and synths sound so good, but it just drags on too much for my liking, not that I have a problem with longer songs but when there's a few minutes of buildup I lose interest. Never gotten into stuff like Progressive House for that reason. That being said, most of my taste lies in the more orchestral/lounge-type stuff so Active NEETS and DDBY are more up my alley. I get where you're coming from though with finding the bossa nova a bit hit-or-miss, I feel the same way about the first few but I've loved everything from 10-12 so maybe it's me but I do think that the quality has improved a lot. Thanks for the suggestions, though. I do like Kuroneko's arranges and I've been looking into Syrufit lately so I'll listen to them and see how it goes.

I like both Shibayan's electric and bossa nova stuff. I even like that one funk arrangement of Monochrome in the Night. He really can do anything. Although I'm noticing a significant drop in quality in the newer bossa nova albums compared to the first four which were all top notch and it's been more hit or miss since. One pet peeve of mine is the use of certain MIDI soundfonts in some of the newer bossa nova pieces especially, they sometimes sound very inorganic which I dislike.

I was like this at first but his electronic songs are growers, very much the opposite of his bossa nova songs which are much more to the point. Definitely listen to more Syrufit! Syrufit is a great choice if you otherwise like Shibayan but are put off by the length of his arrangements. I'm not a big fan of some of the non-electronic songs in Syrufit's albums but the electronic stuff really hits the mark for me.

Yesterday I woke up and noticed the YT channel of Artigence, a guy who makes 2hu remixes, was gone. It had a remix of Desire Drive ("Desire to Manipulate") that I really liked, but I never bothered to download because I'm stupid and never learned my lesson even though /jp/ always tells you to archive your stuff.
I started to look up all of his alternative accounts (Soundcloud and similar) and he nuked everything: they will show up as results in Google, but when you actually click everything is gone.
Only Spotify still had that track: today I woke up and it's gone from there too.

Does anyone have this track or is it lost forever?
If the author happens to check these threads, please consider making it available again.

Your song had a regular chorus that repeated after every few verses whereas the ones I linked all had different melodic parts to them. I'm looking for something with gradual progression. It's most obvious at the ends of both the songs I linked where they get super intense and only twiddle off when it's over.

A circle's member list can be a lot more fluid than a western band's eg three days grace which since 2003 only swapped out gontier, so circle names lose that kind of meaning.
Also each track on an album published by a circle is a work of an individual arranger sometimes with a vocalist, so why not credit track artist as such.

Not too surprised you weren't too big a fan of the Suika one, felt like I was reaching but still wanted to post it just in case. Listening back on it, it follows a more regular song progression instead of what you were asking for. Do you generally like Ranko's singing? I feel people can be pretty divided on her. Now that I think about it, Clockup Flowers might be right up your alley, but it's been recommended thousands of times at this point. Shibayan's just that damn good, I guess.

This one is particularly unique. It is interesting because it is an enka arrange of Native Faith. It's such a neat contrast with what is normally a fast and high-energy theme. I think the beginning of the song might be an homage to 津軽海峡・冬景色 by 石川さゆり.

Ok did the guy who made the chiptune/gameboy remixes delete his channel again or what? He made a 3rd Eye Gameboy remix, a Gensokyo Millennium one, and bunch of other ones. Then his channel got deleted or something and he started reuploading them in the last year. Now I can't find them once again and I'm getting frustrated. I knew I should've downloaded them when I had the chance.
