I'd call myself an anime otaku (dont tell me to go to /a/, I dont like that place and enjoying anime the most doesnt make me not capable of enjoying /jp/ things a lot too). But Im not really proud about it, but not really ashamed either..Of course some parts of my ''anime hobby'' are embarrassing, but Im not ''ashamed'' about them.

For most time, it does. But I'd really appreciate if the western anime/manga/touhou/VN/whatever userbase started to add anime, manga, touhou or video game in front of the ''otaku'' when they use it. Of course sometimes it is not possible (or does not make sense) but most of the time it is.
