Social Security is what they call it in the U.S., so if that's an indication it's the U.S. economy that's being talked about, that isn't the situation.

The number of people trying to support themselves hasn't dropped, nor has people's quality of work. We have an aging population we should have been planning on much better than we have, and our rich have a habit of "speculating" (gambling) on our livelihoods and then fleeing back to Europe when their luck turns sour, leaving us with their debts.

I mean, volunteer your time if you genuinely have butt NOTHING to do, but don't kick yourselves unless you're just kicking yourselves for being suckers along with the rest of us.
