Personally I really like OL as well, but LURK is good too. Basically, as long as you get something that spices up the anomalies, adds in a sleeping bag, gives you random emissions (in Shoc), and improves the A-Life, you're set.

It depends on which game if you ask me. I actually torrented Shoc, but I loved it so much I bought the real game. I torrented CL because it was available (in full Russian) almost a month before it was released in English, but I never got around to buying it. I intend to buy CoP as soon as I get a better PC, I'm tired of playing my favorite FPSRPG series at 9fps.

SMRTER is a large smorgasbord of random junk. As it turns out, I love it, except for the Monolith in Zaton/Jupiter. There are certain points where they just spawn, no matter what, as long as they're not already there, and you're like 300 yards away. Playing it mixed with a realistic weapon mod, and it's basically just one/two shot death machines with night vision binoculars at random points in Jupiter. That and the Jupiter Plant was incredibly frustrating since it's really difficult to get in, then on the way out (the way with no cover but bushes, which they can see through), they all respawn.

I really do love that they added in random stashes, and the concept of the throwable flashlight is a clincher for me. I cannot for the life of me find out where the fuck it is though, I need to figure out the properties of it so I can make glow sticks and take away my flashlight in favor of a lighter. Because night needs to be fucking scary. ... Though right now, night might be a bit TOO dark.
