so is /jp/ enjoying the latest Ace Attorney VN?

>> No.4486068

Beat it last week, felt good man.

Not enough Ema scenes.

It was okay.
My biggest gripe would be with the difficulty level. 99% of the puzzles were incredibly easy to solve and the other 1% forced you to think like a retard and take baby steps instead of going with the obvious answer.

it was awesome.

lots of franziska, and even better, loli franziska, both as partners.

Ace Attorney games are much better with a FAQ up. I am always thinking ahead of the investigation.

What? Isn't it supposed to be a game?
Games are no fun if there's no challenge.

>> No.4486180

I liked it, much better than Apollo Justice was at least.

>> No.4486184

>>4486118
Well PW:AA was like that too. First game in the series is always the easiest game.

Only problem I had with the game is that the final boss was pretty much...well ridiculous. You basically need to get testimony from him like several times and everytime Edgeworth is saying "This is the final showdown!" and it's just stupid. The showdown before then with Shih-na is way better, even if it was also easy.

Yes, I am. Currently in the middle of Case 4.

I think the problem with the Gyakuten Saiban series is that the first game was just too good. It had so many memorable moments. For example, I don't think anything tops calling the parrot up to the witness stand.

Eh...Apollo justice was a good game.

You can have fun without having to go hardcore for a videogame, jones.

I agree. Most of the time I already know what piece of evidence to present the moment the person finishes speaking. But you're often forced to press all the way through just to find the line to present it at.

>> No.4486211

>>4486194
I agree. Probably the worst of the whole PW series, but it's still a PW, and it's still good.

>> No.4486220

This VN needed more H scenes.

Only reason people liked AJ was because of Kristoph.

Just like how people only liked JFA because of the last case, but the entire game as a whole is meh tier.

>>4486190 I think the problem with the Gyakuten Saiban series is that the first game was just too good.
Nah, it's true that the first game is amazing, but the way GS3 ended perfectly the story makes the sequels truly worth it.
>>4486194 Eh...Apollo justice was a good game.
Oh you.

But I hated Kristoph.

Look, either give at least somewhat difficult logic puzzles or don't give any at all and just have it be a visual novel.
The reason the game is so easy is that the target audience is probably ten years younger than you and me.

While the characters in PW:AA are much more appealing i really liked the cases in Apolo justice. All of them had something to do with the story overall (resulting in a nice final showdown at the end) and were a little harder than your normal Ace Attorney case.

Oh, I agree with you. GS3 had a perfect ending. It helped that Mr. Godot was simply awesome. Still, if I had to rate my favorite in the series, I'd put 1 number 1.

Well, they're all good anyway, just that some are better than others.

>> No.4486260

>>4486225 Only reason people liked AJ was because of Kristoph.
Kristoph is awful.
Well, it's true for most of GS4's characters, but still.
>Just like how people only liked JFA because of the last case, but the entire game as a whole is meh tier.
Don't like that much the last case, it's very weak compared to GS1 and 3. The bad guy is too weak.

>> No.4486280

>>4486260
>Don't like that much the last case

Seriously. When Matt Engarde reveals his true face even if I saw it coming, it remains one of my best memories from the games.

Come on. It was so cheesy, even for GS.
The only things I'd save would be that animation when he's scratching his own head and Adrian being moe.

he was the reason that the JFA was the weakest in the series

>> No.4486412

AJ was trash.

AA2's second case was great. I don't care what anyone else says.

>> No.4486460

Going to buy it tomorrow, actually.

Did it keep the "blow on your DS like a tool" to do fingerprints? Honestly, that was my only problem with the new things Apollo Justice added. That and how it seemed to almost wrap up too many things at the end.

>> No.4486463

It was pretty much a visual novel, way easier than the previous games, did not a FAQ to beat.

But still loved it, specially loli Franziska.

no microphone. not even for an 'objection' at the end
