You see Marisa out on the road in the forest one day, but she doesn't see you, curious where this is going you decide to follow her and see what she's up to as unusually she is walking and not using her broom fly above the forest. Eventually you realise she still hasn't noticed you because she's following someone or something else. Still intrigued you follow her until she stops and you realise she's watching some fairies make a pit trap in the road. Curious where this is going and what could happen if you caused some trouble you throw a large towards Marisa to draw the group of fairies attention. But the rock hits Marisa instead, crushing one of her legs as she lets out a blood curdling scream and you dive into cover in some overgrowth. Marisa tries to rush the startled fairies but off-balance she misses and falls straight into the trap, letting out an even more harrowing scream. The group flees and you're overcome by disbelief and indecision to help and risk revenge or even worse, punishment from her friend the shrine maiden as you hear whimpering and strained cries from the pit.

Some time later you finally build up the courage to go and help, pretending to be an innocent bypasser. Looking into the pit you see a bloodstained mess of the no-longer responsive witch lying on top of a badly wounded leg poking out from an abnormal direction. Overcome by fear and guilt you run back to the overgrowth, head in hands absolutely broken by guilt. Some hours later you're finally disturbed by a noise as a cat youkai approaches the pit, a cart in her hands. Relief sweeps you thinking the cat youkai will help and take Marisa to safety, but then you also realise, you recognise that cat youkai. It's the kasha and she gleefully pulls up the motionless witch from the pitch, unceremoniously dumping her into the cart at an awkward angle. Your heart sinks and tears begin to drop as you realise just what's happened and it sinks in..

It's dusk and you're walking back to the village from the mountains but while you pass the Misty Lake you spot Marisa arguing with some lake fairies
Marisa is threatening Daiyousei about something as Cirno angrily steps in her way to protect her
You're kinda annoyed by Marisa and think she can be a bit of a bully sometimes and you decide to intervene
She doesn't see you but you take a running kick with both feet and kick her into the lake
She lands head first but Cirno freezes her at the same time, getting her stuck comically flailing her legs about while half frozen into floating block of ice
The fairies laugh hysterically but then fly away as she flips her mini iceberg upright, desperately gasping for air
Soaking wet, freezing and incandescent with rage, she yells at you before reaching for her pocket grabbing a small eight-sided box

You're blinded by a bright coloured flash of light and feel a burning sensation as it grazes your ear leaving it slightly burned
Realising you've really caused some shit now you flee, Marisa chases you firing off several more salvoes of danmaku before slipping and falling over
You run for your life and she resumes the pursuit in the distance
Running several minutes you finally lose Marisa, but it's almost dark and you've ran so far from the path that you found a dark red brick wall
You can't find your way back to the path by the lake so follow along the wall towards what looks like a dimly lit lantern on the wall in the distance
You hear something gently drop down behind you and suddenly feel very cold, a chill coming from behind you
'Hey mister!'
You feel an icy jolt of pure terror run through you as you slowly turn round and see what looks like a finely dressed young girl standing behind you, but she has bat-like wings that fluttering slightly as a wicked grin lights up her face as she sees the fear in your eyes
You remember the rumours in the village that there is a vampire that lives near the lake
Pure, unrestrained terror overwhelms you and you black out and fall to the floor

Bad Ending #2
Marisa didn't get you, but something far worse did

A lone Youkai walks a lonesome road. Such is life for most low level mobs who roam Gensokyo. When not drinking or partying, it is truly a boring experience. Some like being idle, but this lone brute does not.

So, he wanders aimlessly through the forest in search of something to do.

“Hey you! Ugly!” comes a girl’s voice from overhead. “Watchu think you doin’ on my part of the forest!” The girl who owns the voice descends on a broom and stands right in front of the Youkai in the most confident way possible while being half his size. Either way, she stands ‘tall’. “You got a death wish or something? Or are the clouds clogging your ears from up there?”

The foolish bravado of the girl irks the lesser Youkai, but he doesn’t engage just yet.

“You got any idea who you messing with? I’m a rockstar in Danmaku baby, Marisa freakin’ Kirisame!”

The Youkai stifles a chuckle at the mention of the childish game. He has indeed heard of her after all, so he must be careful and disable her first.

The small girl grows frustrated and throws her arms in the air. “Can you even speak? Or are you just dumb?” She looks at the stone faced beast’s unmoving form. “You don’t even understand me aintcha? You’ll understand this-!” Marisa pulls out a small device from her back.

In an instant, like a waiting viper, the Youkai rapidly moves from his still position to grab the girl’s wrist. And like a twig.

CRUNCH. And a shriek can be heard in the lonely forest.

The Youkai understands he must act fast to beat the expert incident solver.

He steps forward into Marisa - and onto the Mini Hakkero, crushing it - and takes a hold of her belt carrying her various potions, ripping it and throwing it far away.

Marisa realizes her bad situations but still overconfident doesn’t try to run, rather trying to use her own magic on the beast. She conjures a star of pure magic on her remaining hand and blasts it forward.

The Youkai easily takes the hit. Marisa, stunned, does nothing as he grabs her precious broom, her one saving grace, and snaps it in two with his strong arms.

Marisa in her own confidence forgot that without her tools, her magic is just a childish game to settle petty disputes between Gensokyo’s equally petty residents.

Reality doesn’t have time to set in as a pair of brutish hands grab a hold of her shoulders and push her into a rising knee right into her soft, unprotected belly. She rises off the ground slightly and then gets released so that the sadistic Youkai can watch her legs wobble trying to maintain balance.

“A-a-aah…” a whine escapes Marisa’s mouth, it sounds weak and breathless. She is weakly holding her bruised tummy with her arms and looking down while trying to take deep breaths and not cry. Her hat, having fallen off, lays in the ground.

“Y-y-y-you c-c-coward.” Marisa looks up at the Youkai with spit falling from her mouth, snot from her nose and tears from her eyes, yet with a cocky face. “H-hittin’ out of the blue like-” she never finishes, the Youkai grabs a handful of her hair and punches her right in the middle of her pretty face feeling the addicting CRUNCH once more.

Marisa falls to the ground. She covers her face and finally breaks into tears and wails loudly. Gone is the confident Youkai hunter, all there is now is a young girl who ran away from home and decided to live in the middle of the forest.

Where no one can hear her screams.

The Youkai kneels down and grabs a hold of her trembling arms and effortlessly takes them off her face despite Marisa’s best efforts. Blood runs splatters her face from her now deformed and clearly broken nose, and just as freely tears run from her terrified eyes.

“P-p-please mister…” she begs in faux calm. “P-p-please j-just…” she breaks down, “just don’t hit me!” her speech deteriorates into that of ugly crying. Any attempt at further pleads gets interrupted by cute little hiccups.

The Youkai finds this irritating. He takes both of Marisa’s little twig-arms in one hand and lifts her up so she’s eyelevel. He lines up his fist to her tummy once more. “C-c-come on man…” Marisa laughs nervously. “Just l-let me go, okay?” she looks up in her best friendly smile. “We can forget this happened, y-yeah? I-I can teach ya some neat trick, y’know? I’ll never bother you again, I’ll-” Upon seeing his unimpressed face, she grows desperate. “I-I-I can get you anything you want! I-I am a girl you know! I can do you some favors!”

The implication that the Youkai would be in any way interested in the girl who resembles a malnourished child annoys him, yet seeing her demeaning herself like this also amuses him.

He decides to stop thinking and just hit her. The first hit was a probing one, to gauge her resistance and also to feel just how soft she was before he bruised her badly. The second one, having now determined the amount of strength for a nice long beating, became the norm for the next dozen hits. Marisa wailed freely, the pain of every strike remaining until the next one reignites her screams.

The Youkai notices how at some point, she had peed herself. Whether from fear or the punches, no one may ever know.

After a bit, Marisa had stopped screaming. Her throat burned but not as much as her poor belly. In its place, everytime he would strike her, her only response was soft grunts. She didn’t have strength for more. Marisa looks into nothingness with dull eyes, completely giving up whatever sick games the Youkai wanted to play.

The Youkai, however, knew this girl has powerful friends, so any damage he could inflict shouldn’t be severe or permanent.

With a sigh, he drops the catatonic girl on the dirt and walks away. Marisa only has strength to rest her arms on her ruined tummy and try to nurse it while softly crying.

The girl wouldn’t tell anyone, as she knows the shame of being beaten and abused by a lesser Youkai would ruin her reputation.

The Youkai once again walks along a lonely road.

Chen throw a furious blow towards her knees again but missed, staggering forward, off-balance
Marisa thrashed the ground in agony as a dark void full of bloodshot eyes opened up before her and a large, nine-tailed fox dashed through, her face full of panic
CHEN NO!!!! STOP IT, NOT LIKE THIS!!!!
Ran grabbed Chen, falling over the top of her but restraining the furious bakeneko as she tried to grasp at her now dropped club for another swing
PLEASE CHEN, CALM DOWN, STOP IT
Ran struggled with the small cat but eventually held her into her stomach, away from Marisa
A bored but frustrated voice came from the void as Marisa still rolled around screaming and trying to reach her voice raw with pain and trying to clutch her shattered knees

Another day by the Misty Lake and you're minding your own business doing some fishing
You hear some commotion in the distance and see danmaku exchanges as Marisa comes flying out of the gardens on her broom at speed
Her flying is unstable as she is overloaded with a large, heavy sack awkwardly slung over her shoulder
Just as she flies over you something comes lose and drops from the sky, landing in your fishing box breaking it and most of the contents throwing now broken hooks and bait all over the place
Furious, you yell at Marisa before she turns and lands and tries to brush away your now ruined tackle box as nothing
In anger you throw your rod at her, it hits her in the gut and winds her
She tries to retaliate reaching in her pocket for something but nothing is there
A moment later she spots her mini-hakkero, lying on top of your ruined tackle box and makes a rush at it
But it fails when you turn and kick her straight in the ass, knocking her over as she lets out a pained yell
Tired of her once again ruining your day, you decide it's time to do something about this annoying witch
You put the mini-hakkero in your pocket, grab the large bag full of books and drag Marisa by her ear, the whole way back to the mansion
Some time later you arrive at the mansion, slipping past the now napping gatekeeper despite Marisa's protests
You knock on the front door of the mansion and in an instant a silver-haired maid appears behind you
Astonished the maid tells you to wait while she gets someone who would definitely like to see you - and the witch
The doors now open and a girl with long purple hair and a long flowing dress somehow opens both doors fully, without even touching them
'This the girl you're looking for, there's a sack full of books here and she ruined my fishing equipment dropping this on top of it'
Grateful for her books back, and also taking the mini-hakkero off you with great curiosity the girl thanks you handing them to a devil-like assistant but then her demeanour turns to a look of anger
'It's about time we taught this filthy rat what happens to thieving little rats that get caught...'
Suddenly the girl grabs a book from the sack and bluntly whacks Marisa over the head with it
She then passes you a book and encourages you to join in, the pair of you now hitting the witch with books as a third girl joins in
An elegantly dressed young girl, with bat-like wings floats down from a balcony above, taking a book from the devil-like creature and then winds Marisa with a pointed jab of it to the gut
As a small crowd of fairy maids forms and the now awoken gate keeper wanders over the three of you beat the witch with books
Marisa huddles on the ground, tears run down her face as she sits, head in hands, trembling as the three of you pound her with books
This continues on for several minutes until the purple-haired girl collapses in a coughing fit and the bat-winged girl thanks you for bringing the witch there, inviting you in for tea

Dusk will fall soon so you decide to call it a day and sling a well filled sack of mushrooms over your back
But just as you begin heading back to the village Marisa swoops over you flying the opposite direction and snatches your sack of mushrooms
'Don't mind if I borrow ya mushrooms ze?'
You've seen her do this to people before so thinking fast you grab one of your wooden geta and throw it at her
This is an incredibly good shot and hits her square in the back of the neck, knocking her off balance
She crashes into a low branch and falls from her broom dropping the sack and a number of other things she was carrying
With a deep, hollow thud on some moss covered roots she lands somewhat softly and unharmed but having broken her mini-hakkero
'I-I-I was just jokin' ya kno, I was gonna give it back...'
The tone of Marisa's voice turned fearful as you walk up to her, looming over her with an angry expression
'You never give anything you 'borrow' back! It's about time someone showed you, witch.'
Snatching her broom you start thrashing her over the back with it until she begins to plead and apologise but you decide she deserves some further punishment
You sit her down, untie her apron and fashion it into a long rope, tying her hands up and to a thick root between her legs
'That hat looks nice and warm, I think I'll -borrow- it, what a shame for you that it looks like rain tonight'
You take her hat, it's a snug fit but it is nice and warm and begin to walk off
'You c-c-can't just leave me here overnight, y-y-you know it's not safe..'
Something in the distance catches the gaze of the pair of you, it's getting dusk but something very dark is slowly moving towards the pair of you, stopping ever now and then and waiting behind an occasional tree
It's so dark you can't make out what it is, but it is a long way in the distance, so you decide it's a good time to be getting out of there
Briskly you walk off towards the village
Marisa now begs to be untied, slowly breaking down into tears
You turn and face her one last time, but decide not to go back or any closer to that dark aura watching from afar
'Sweet dreams witch girl, don't let the youkai bite...'

I think I would just lightly bully her in non-verbal ways, like always walking up really close up to her and staring her down whenever she talks, to emphasize how small she is compared to me. I'd be crouching down to her level to give her both the illusion that I'm interested in what she's saying but also treating her like a child. Always praise her in slightly belittling ways, like "oh, that must have been a hard danmaku match for someone like you", "a lot of firepower in such a small package" or say that her tiny size helps her dodge things. Say that her hat blocks me from looking in her eyes, and take it off of her head. You know, plausible deniability.
I think I'd eventually also pick her up and put her on my shoulder sometimes, claim I'm helping her gain attention from the room.

You're at a banquet at the Hakurei shrine with dozens of humans and youkai in attendance
After a few hours of drinking a few of the fairies start dancing and are joined by a couple of other guests amusing themselves trying to dance with the fairies
After a couple of bowls of sake you decide to join them for a laugh
Marisa also joins in not long after and grabs a lake fairy swinging her round before letting her loose in the air to the terror of the poor fairy but amusement of several others
This gives you an idea so you grab Marisa by the hips and start spinning round, pulling her closer with speed
Marisa laughs and goes along with it at first thinking you're trying to show off some new dance move and puts her arms round your neck
But you get even faster and lift her completely off the ground, spinning around with Marisa precariously clinging on as she slides further away
Your hands move further up until you're swinging her round holding her by the armpits as she looks worried
With a final heave you finally let go sending Marisa sailing through the air screaming like banshee
She lands in a large punch bowl, soaking the group of guests from Eientei sitting either side of the huge bowl in a tsunami of fruit punch
This to the great amusement of the guests save the now soaked party of Lunarians and rabbits
Even Reimu struggles to hide a hearty giggle as Eirin spits out a mouthful of now witch-flavoured fruit punch
Soaked through in fruit punch Marisa jumps out the bowl and furiously chases Aya, her face a mess of tears, fruit punch and rage
The crow tengu with reflexes only her kind could possess having snapped the entire short flight of Marisa and its aftermath
She flees giggling about this making the front page of next week's Bunbunmaru with Marisa in hot pursuit
The laughter finally begins to die down as a large oni gets up putting down her bowl of sake
'You call that a throw, I'll send this one right back to the Moon, just ya watch!'
'YUUGI NO!' a now panicked Reimu screams as the large oni grabs a soaking wet Reisen and begins to spin her with incredible speed and power
'Not even a quick spin cycle? She's still wet from all that drink ya know! I'm just drying her off a bit hehe'
A disappointed Yuugi puts the terrified moon rabbit down as Tewi looks on with disappointment and Reimu sinks back into her cushion with relief

Thrashing around about in the water Marisa manages to find her newly replaced mini-hakkero as it floats out of her pockets and points it at you

Before she can finish yelling out a spell she disappears under the water with a sudden tug from underneath the surface
Some air bubbles and the witch's hat surfaces after a few seconds but there is no sign of Marisa
You sit back down on the grassy bank of the lake, not really sure what just happened
Unsure what to do next you pack up your fishing gear but wait around a long while trying to figure out exactly what happened
Some time later it starts to get darker so you decide to go home
As you walk home you see a familiar but rarely seen face pop up from the waters of the lake
The mermaid, Wakasaihime smiles at you with a gleeful expression, but does not say anything else before diving back under
You're not really sure what that was about, or what happened earlier but Marisa was never seen again and it became something of a mystery to the villagers, subject to all kinds of wild rumours...

After eating a lunchtime bento with some freinds from the village and mixing with a few freindly youkai you roam around the shrine
Round the back of the shrine while having a post-lunch cup of tea you watch Alice letting her dolls play with some fairies
Shangai and Hourai playfully tease Cirno throwing a dessert mochi back and forth out of the ice fairy's reach before she freezes Hourai and snatches the treat
Chuckling among yourselves it gives you an idea
You grab Marisa's hat and toss it with a slight spin to Suika who unprepared for it throws it up into the air with considerable force
Before Marisa can get it back Aunn leaps up high and catches it, tossing the hat for Reimu to catch
'Hey, this ain't fair stop being mean again ze?'
Reimu giggles as she tricks Marisa feinting an offer of her hat back and throws it back up in the air for Aunn and Marisa to chase
But before either can get it a taller village boy grabs it from above the pair of them and runs away with it before making a sudden pass to an unprepared Alice
She panics and flaps her arms about knocking the hat up into the air again as it floats gently towards the shrine's pond
Marisa runs for her hat, seemingly bound for the pond but in a sudden flash and swoop of feathers Aya swoops from the roof of the shrine and catches the hat in the blink of an eye
Running too fast and distracted by the sudden move of the tengu, Marisa can't stop and runs straight into the pond falling face first
She sits up spitting out a mouthful of water and throwing a stray lilypad from her shoulder to the amusement of everyone
Reimu snorting a mouthful of tea through her nose as Alice tries and fails to hide her laughter
Aya lands just in time to get the perfect photo of Marisa awkwardly laughing at the tengu now wearing her hat with her own cap comically placed on top of the witches hat
You feel slightly guilty for how it ended but for once, Marisa seems to take one of your bad pranks in good humour
