A bit. It's the same general style, but Adventures has less pseudo-mystery and a bigger focus on the overarching plot which is more centered around gods. The character focus is also quite a bit different with Elgo basically being the main guy for the most part. In Case Files, it was more about Waver and Gray. Also Case Files had some cameos, but it feels like Adventures has much more overall (dunno I didn't actually count them so maybe I'm wrong). If you want my personal opinion, Case Files is the superior series thus far, but perhaps the end of Adventures will pick up and make me change my mind.

Given the new ORT lore in LB7 where Tezca states event if ORT wakes up, it would just run amok for a bit then fly away unless you feed it something that gives it a directive. This was why Izcali, who was meant to be the final sacrifice for waking up ORT, became useless after he lost his hatred towards PHH. Most likely the reason ORT is more active in Tsuki worlds as per Rasputin's statement is because it ate a DAA and as a result of that inherited that particular DAA's will/disposition along with IB and other vampiric abilities. Given that, I think it's quite likely ORT is subservient to CM in Tsuki worlds.

But there is a good chance that the reason for that is linked to DAA as the alternative "worlds" are those where Alaya is able to make the world stable. Here ORT simply sleeps. There are multiple factors that are interconnected so it's like a chicken and egg kind of situation since DAA and Gaia are both central in the Tsukihime worlds and the planets status appears interlinked to the CM's actions. The planet's screams seem to strongly indicate that connection with ORT's status. There is also that this ORT variants unique situation with its heart. In Fate it is complete but still sleeping for some reason. Apparently more soundly or something I guess? You'd think it's connected to Alaya's greater position in those worlds somehow or simply the lack of Gaia having a stronger presence possibly being more likely relevant.

Promised Time is from old material. I don't quite remember the passage but I don't necessarily think it was proven false since promised time was never really explained.
