I've always thought that a mge-based rip off of Dungeon Keeper would be the best way to play the game. The entire game is about building dungeons to corrupt the surface world and defeating invading adventurers so it would meld seamlessly into an mge setting. Well I'd love feedback on my new chapter/story if you're willing. Truth is, I have no fucking idea what I'm doing. This is one of the most humbling things I've done. I have no idea how Magus or any of the other OGs do it. I desperately want to create content for the setting I love, and for people to enjoy it, but I'm a damn accountant. My brain doesn't work past SALY, and I don't have a creative bone in my body.
Everything I've written has been off the back of better writers here and books off my shelf. I literally am constantly referring to Magus, Ameoba, Losenis, and my books trying to mimic how they write dialogue, structure sentences, literally everything. Multiple tabs open everywhere every time I write. All I can do is copy and pray it's not a fucked up mess when I'm done. Roll it forward. And those don't even touch on concepts like pacing and character development.

I initially just wanted like a 6k SoL. The story was supposed to be over in chapter 2, which would have been equalish size. Chapter 1 would have been all the action.

You can’t see the room beyond the people in it and the objects they interact with, for example. Skipping from scene to scene is another flaw/habit of mine. Because it spares me writing.
