KzG - composer of music which the creator of Vampirish Night used in some of his doujin games without asking for his permission, made a threadin NGs asking if someone knew the email of the creator of Vampirish Night(CVN) since he didn't understand japanese and hadn't been able to find it by himself.
NG got all "INTERNET COPYRIGHT POLICE" and found CVN's email and spammed him with emails accusing him of theft copyright infringement and probably fucking a cat.
CVN didn't understand english either which made things more complicated.

Anyways, /jp/ got tip of the situations and there were some that "eased" communication between KzG and CVN.

Long story short, it appeared to be a missunderstanding and CVN decided to cancel VN because he felt he had offended/disshonored/or something else japanese culturally related.

/jp/ is sad.

But as of now: There was indirect communication between KgZ and the developer of Vampirish Night and it was made clear for him that KgZ is fine with it now and would even produce better/more fitting music for him. But he is still not going to resume his work or put up the game again. I think it is you who should "lurk the fuck more."

A lot of you guys don't really seem to understand just how shitty of a position CVN is in.

If he makes the game, this is how the will be portrayed:

1. I'll take music for my game from overseas, nobody will notice.

2. Fuck, they noticed. Well, if I apoligize and make a big show out it, everyone will forgive me.

3. "Okay guys, I guess since you all want me to make this game so much, I'll make it for you." (haha, suckers!)

4. More people will buy the game than would have originally as a result of this "publicity stunt."

Of course, I don't think that that's what CVN is thinking, I think he honestly misunderstood the rules about using the song, and I'm sure he's a cool guy. But trolls/vippers/anti-Touhou fags on the Japanese internet WILL paint him as a content stealer/manipulative prick, as /b/ would say, "for the lulz." I'm pretty sure CVN realizes this and is fucking afraid of it.

Of course, if he doesn't make the game, everyone who wanted to play it will be irritated with him for not making it, and he won't get the satisfaction of creating a good game.

You guys are fucking idiots, KgZ didn't realize that the game credits him at the very end after it's beaten, and not anywhere else. Nobody made any effort to try and contact him about it.

He respected the project from the beginning and tried to be civil about it, he even offered to make original work for the game, and you faggots are attacking him as if he tried to shut the project down for it.

That and Newground's policy doesn't cover commercial uses of the music on the site, he has every right to want permission before the guy goes off and sells a game containing his original work.

If the creator wants to throw away the game now because of it then it's his fault, KgZ's been civil about the whole situation, acknowledged it was largely a misunderstanding and even supported making original music for the game. It's not his fault you guys are taking it out on him because you're butthurt over the creator overreacting and cancelling the game.
