Let's hope this thread doesn't turn into KoG/White Ren vs Jones/AoRF/Alabama bs like the last one. Tripfags need to get their own thread.

Why are you bringing that up? Last thread was just an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire, that's all. Don't reference it here.

Because he's the faggot in question, obviously.
Don't respond to him.

has anyone else been beating their head against the wall playing Valkyria 2 on PSP?

What are your thoughts?

Pros
- DEEPer levelling system (they replaced sniper and made it an upgrade path of scout im pretty sure)
- MELEE UNITS. SHIELD AND POLEHAMMER WHATS NOT TO LIKE
- Cool use of multiple maps to compensate for smaller individual map size per mission.
- Engineers seem more useful now. I never used them in VC1, but in VC2 they resupply simply by running up to others. They also seem to use shotguns/revolver or some shit?

Cons
- Scoring is still based on speed, and AI seems the same
- Scouts still fast as fuck
- Hiphop boy band OP
- You know how VC 1 was full of waifu figures? VC2 evens the ratio out, or maybe even tips it so the game is now full of bishonens.
- Stupid high school setting
- no character as waifuly as Marina
- too much shitty emoticons / reactions going on in the dialogue scenes,

Those are pretty much my thoughts, but I'm only about 2 missions in.

I'm not actively trolling or anything, just genuinely curious.

For $20 you can get STALKER: Call of Pripyat, an open-ended FPSRPG hybrid with great atmosphere and a life-consumingly engrossing pace of gameplay. $20.

For $60 you can get Heavy Rain, a series of cut scenes whose endings you effect by pressing buttons when prompted. Minimal interaction is involved. Essentially it is mostly watching cut scenes.

Why do people want to spend $60 on Heavy Rain? Why wouldn't you just rent it? Has anyone here actually bought the game and do they want to justify their purchase?

I suppose those with lots of expendable income will raise valid points, but for students or unemployed fags, I'm genuinely lost for a reason.

You're right, what happened to Phoenix and his allies is not vital to Apollo's story. Which is why I don't think Phoenix should have been in the game at all. Half-assing his inclusion and epic-life-changing experience is worse than not having it at all.

As for a lot happening in seven years, sure. What I'm saying is with all the friends he had, and the weak-ass reason for his downfall, he should have recovered from that entirely to begin with. Prosecutors fake evidence daily and they get a slap on the wrist, and Phoenix didn't even do it on purpose. Besides, in the games overall, you pull unproven evidence out of nowhere ALL THE TIME. So I say his friends were forgotten because if they didn't cease to exist, with their help he wouldn't be a borderline alcoholic bum hardly paying the rent seven years later to begin with. He had lots of friends with powerful connections. At worst they could have hooked him up with a new career if they couldn't pull strings in the legal system to keep him a lawyer in the first place. And the Phoenix I knew would have fought the whole disbarring more in the first place regardless of help. Instead he more or less rolled over and died.

Well, it seems no one is playing anyway. Axing in a minute.

Gonna give a nice little story about today when I was attacking Valor Domination as SVER.

So basically, we're sucking shit attacking. We eventually lose, but whatever, MAG is one of those games where you can still have a shitton of fun even if you lose.

Anyway, my setup at the time was the AK-104 (3rd tier assault rifle) with a foregrip and 4x optical scope, 2 frags, self-medkit (forgot to equip the one that heals others after I respecced), medium armor, and a pistol.

So we're down to their E and F points with about 10:00 left, and since everyone's being fucktarded, I decide to go to the left then up their stairs from behind. Immediately I kill about 2 people who are oblivious to that entrance. I go up to the top floor, kill 2 people on the balcony, go back down a bit, and start, at least trying to, mowing down a FUCKLOAD of Valor over there. Eventually, after maybe 10 kills within 30 seconds, I run outta ammo, so I pick off 2 others, killing them with 1 shot on each (probably got hurt when I tried mowing down the shitload of Valor there). After that I go down the stairs to try and take over the point, and there's one more guy there, so I knife him in the back.

I died while trying to take over the point, but it was one of the most adrenaline-intense experiences in a game. I got the achievement "Commando'in" (or some shit like that)

It was fucking awesome, guys. I was being a credit to the team, too, because some bros got in after that.

Sadly, we still lost the match by a fucking landslide. Shit sucked but oh well, was fun as hell.

Any other bros have some cool stories?
