Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if ZUN had much less of a hand in writing the manga that we initially were led to believe, especially with Reimu's sudden character shift going from the first artist to the second in CDS.

I can't believe he's always been doing that given some of the WaHH dialogue had deep cut references to stuff that's only happening now, like kasen and komachi talking about how the organizations in hell might collapse into civil war soon, and we saw that almost happen in 19
my personal theory has always been that once he saw the artist struggling, ZUN was going to wrap CDS up at eientei, but once the new artist agreed to take over, he had to shift reimu's personality back so he could keep it running for longer
it's the only way I can think of to make reimu's character shift work with it being ZUN writing it

Goku and Vegeta were handling him pretty well without fusing in the manga, while Vegito pretty handily man handled him.
Hakai, like anything else in Dragonball, can be overcome with enough big dick energy.

Oh yeah you're right. Say what you want about the ToP arc with Roshi standing up to Jiren, but the powerlevel disparity between the manga and anime in the Goku Black arc was all kinds of fucked.

There's a difference between the energy balls Top used and the actual destruction technique. The real Hakai works instantly and erases entire galaxies.

Honestly it's more like there are two versions of the Hakai, a "Concentrated Hakai" and an "Explosive Hakai"

Examples of a Concentrated Hakai:
>Goku against Merged Zamasu (Manga)
>Beerus against Kaioshin Zamasu (Anime)
Examples of a Explosive Hakai:
>Toppo in the ToP (Anime)
>Dog person borrowing the Hakai from U4 GoD and using it on Freeza (Anime)

The end result being the same, but the concentrated one is an insta-win against literally anyone regardless of how strong they are, where as the explosive Hakai can be guarded against if you're strong enough.
