I don't get all this excitement about this vn, this is just boring and the h scenes every 10 minutes aren't helping it at all. Are other routes any better?

Nekoko's route is better in every way, and has a delicious ending.
Aeka's route is either the best thing ever, or the worst thing ever, depending on your personality.

If you can't understand her, it becomes boring and unfulfilling.

Same with Nekoko. Personally, while I loved Mizuki's route, I just couldn't get into Nekoko's and developed an opinion towards that route similar to your opinion of Mizuki's.

Most people, though, enjoy Aeka's, if only for the rage.

You picked the wrong route, Mizuki's route reeally damages YMK's reputation.
Mizuki's route is like a sex-romp or something, she has almost as many ero-scenes as the other routes combined.

She is a character whose problem is that she has problems with taking things and relations seriously, and that in itself makes her route feel a lot less serious Until you both fall into the shit together and she realizes that shit got her serious and that her actions matter and have consequences (she got pregnant and realized that one can't just play around)
Even in Nekoko's route who features a lot of drugs tries to be serious even though drugs and currealism goes hand in hand a bit, but the route also was serious as it was declared from the beginning that drugs got to go, but that the road away from drugs is a hard one.

YMK should be better with just Aeka's and Nekeko's route.
You should reread it for the other routes, they aren't the same as Mizuki's.

At first Mizuki thinks that stuff like sex doesn't matter and that doing what feels good might as well be ok, because why not?
Then everything goes downhill from there and until the route reaches the drama climax and then they try to climb up from there.

Aeka was a girl that tried to be nice but she had a rather weak self and got involved witht he wrong people.
Then the protagonist meets her and realizes that she nice girl, and tries to uncover the bullshit of people trying to ruin her life and he goes through it while trying to maintain Aeka's will to live, and looking forward and not losing hope.

Nekeko lived a colorless life like all the others and had problems handling the preassure that was put on her and she had troubles looking at the bright side of things. Unlike Mizaki(not caring) and Aeka(hiding/escaping) she resorted to drugs and as always drugs tend to seem as a good idea for a while and it did brighten up her life and it also made her able coping with the preassure she had troubles with before.
Then she got stuck and everything started tog o downhill. She was an interesting and happy person as opposed to the others in the surrounding and that made quite an impression on the protagoist with his clolorless life.
So they got together and he stated from the beginning that the drugs had to go and he pitied Nekeko, yet he admired her and tried to learn from her. They struggled against the effects of drugs together, got to know eachother and strived to live happily together.
