IaMP and Soku are similar on a surface level but they aim to accomplish two very different styles of fighting game.
IaMP isn't even hard at a basic level. If anything, Soku is more complex with having to know what all of the system, skill and spellcards do on top of knowing what each type of weather does and how to manipulate the weather system and you have to do all of this while trying to fight another person. Not to mention, managing your spirit gauge, switching cards while doing other actions, and having to make a deck before you even get into a match.
IaMP is incredibly easy to get into by comparison.
