Where do youkai get their income that they always seem to have from? We only know a few examples like Mystia and Miyoi.

Her money is only the store's money. She could only buy something if it's for Geidontei

We also know Tewi and Eientei's money comes in part from rent of stalls at the Road of Reconsideration.

Some just live off nature and bartering, while the others through jobs.
Youkai probably has its own money circulation so they don't have to sell things or offer services to humans.

A lot of them have means of sustenance that don't require income, its just that their human form makes it tempting to think they lead the same life we do, or from a narrative perspective that's also the case. What tells you all Youkais need sleep, for example? I guess the existence of Doremy in a way, but its all kind of blurry.
Otherwise, there are cases like hierarchies like the Tengu society or the Animal Realm, or Gods who's form of sustenance may require human interaction, and that may prompt them into action which gets locales made, or trades. Trades seem to be the basis rather than currency, which I can only recall being used by the tengu as a means to assert power beyond their own realm in the events of UM.
Not the most well versed on all this so correct me on anything or add anything.

Yeah but I figure shopping in human village isn't a necessary commodity. Regardless youkai money probably circulates in places like Road of Consideration. Yamame build houses for youkai, Urumi sell sanzu fishes for youkai, etc.Yuuka probably get money from selling her flowers and fertilizer to youkai and sometimes humans, though she doesn't seem to be the type to open shop, let alone one that's visited by humans.
