Touhou 20 "Dream Bone Mending ~ Frequent Unavoidable Collisions are Karma" will release together with a compilation remake of the Touhou project games originally released for PC-98.
Highlights from the sneak peak:
- HRtP: No changes. It is impossible to improve on perfection.
- SoEW: Marisa replaces high-movement type Reimu and will be a Sony PlayStation® Collector's edition exclusive character. Offensive dialogue in the second stage has been rewritten.
- PoDD: Characters from other games replace those with a problematic copyright. ZUN told us that this was a good opportunity to put in characters who he feels deserved more appearances. Goodbye boring witch *llen, welcome cool fairy Cirno!
- LLS: Some players were misled by the original PC-98 release into thinking that Kurumi shot first during the boss fight of stage 2, which made her look too much like a bad girl. She's a bit of an enigma. In the PC98 Era she was arguably the second most important character in the series, having just as many appearances as Marisa, but come Windows she almost entirely vanishes with only one or two vague allusions to her existence. I think that element of mystery, along with the implications she has for Marisa's character, has put her in the perfect position to gain a cult following. Why is it so hard to find good remasters of PC98 songs?
9/10 of them have really messed up pacing, or funny instruments that don't fit.
Demetori is a pretty bad example of the latter, their guitars tend to drown out the actual tune to the point where they all end up sounding the same.
I used to like them, but nowadays I think they're pretty mediocre.

Some schizo headcanon here. I believe Mima is trapped within this gemstone that Enoko has. Colors match up and Marisa has a obsession over it for seemingly no reason stated other than maybe Zanmu's influence. Maybe Mima was reduced to nothing by Zanmu which may be a reason Marisa doesn't recall her but is drawn to this gemstone. Zanmu might be the reason we never got to see her.
