There's not much info on her aside from being an angel of death, which I guess comes from megaten because irc Sariel wasn't too related to death, from where megaten got the Sariel being an angel of death beat's me tho.

Would be interesting, but it's hard to tell since Makai seems to be something different to hell.
Unless for some reason the angels/demons of hell moved into Makai when they run out of space in old hell or something.
But I doubt ZUN will ever elaborate on anything related to Makai, which would be nice since in most places nips use Makai as a synonym for Hell and in touhou it seems to be a completely separate realm.

sariel is identified as an angel of death in the book of enoch, and is also one of the "watchers." the watchers were cast out of heaven for falling in love with humans on earth and lewding them, creating the nephilim. to my recollection, she is sometimes conflated with other angels yes. but i dont remember abaddon being among them specifically, abaddon seems to refer moreso to satan

I recently got some urge to replay the first DMC and thought that Mundus looks a bit like Sariel.
Both having some sort of hole in their chest, some weird second form and looking very statue like( Sariel maybe just looks like a statue because she doesn't move at all in the battle, except for the skirt iirc), they also both appear in a stage that seems like a holy temple in the demon world, and seem to have a power to distort space/reality marbles.
The symbols on the spheres and the symbols you shoot at him in the first phase also look similar to the sanscrit used in HRtP, but invented.
So I thought that maybe some of the devs might have played HRtP, improbable and maybe impossible to know for sure, but it's a funny idea. Is there even any data of approximately how many copies ZUN sold before EoSD?

It's pretty rare seeing her with alternative hairstyles. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a short haired Sacchan, whereas I've seen plenty of shorter and longer haired Konngaras.

Looking at Konngara's sprite I cant tell very well to be honest, to me she looks like she has short hair on top long ass sidelocks and ponytail... Her ponytail hair is a bit weird with all that going up like a flame look tho.
I guess that since the sprite is a bit weird artist tend to take more liberties or something, her horn or nail coming through her head or whatever that is seems to also chance sizes in each fanart.
Sariel the shortest I've seen is probably waist height.
