As soon as it is in motion, it looks like shit. All the extra spatial detail is eaten up by x265 panic blurring everything to hit that high CRF...
The cherry on top is that the 4K streamrips are larger for every. single. one. It's a joke.

Autism Addendum: I find it extremely amusing that DMM if the files are actually the decrypted originals or some direct stream rip and not Mr. Chang's screen captures is using nr-inter and nr-intra. That's some high tier encode 'tism - except they're "doing it wrong".
The values set aren't necessarily high, 60 for nr-intra is on the low side, and 10 for nr-inter is downright negligible, but "doing it right" would be setting a higher value for inter than intra - the opposite of what they've done here.
So i.e. --nr-intra=50 and --nr-inter=100 - this would basically reduce sensor noise - with a bit more applied to the algorithm "within" a frame (inter) than there is applied "between" frames (intra).

TL;DR I'm waiting for a mainline KMP VR title (not KMPVR-Color- "SAVR") to come out in 8K so I can buy it on Afesta and actually take a gander.
