Name some ways in which you honestly expect they could ruin the touhou anime.

I think if we got one they would try to make it like a typical shitty shounen show, just with touhou characters. They would probably insert Rinnosuke early on as that guy Reimu doesn't like, but by the end of the series they will be in love.

They will also make Yukari the ultimate final boss and she will actually be destroyed (like actually killed) by the main characters.

Are you stupid like Cirno? Splice of life fags and shoujo fans got their turn with the two unofficial Touhou anime. And oddly enough it was boring. Apparently sipping tea all day and Nanaho tier action did not make for an interesting story.

Perhaps if the Touhou anime had less boring yuri shit and more powerlevels, people would have enjoyed it. Can you imagine how boring the games would be if all they did was talk the whole time. Touhou is about combat. Tea sipping is just an added on filler for secondary fans that started with the IN fanbooks. There's a reason IN was one of the easiest games in the series up until that point.

Anything that deviates too far from or too deep into slice-of-life directions. If there's a Touhou animu, the format should be a working of the game plots into gentle, three episode arcs. The plots would serve more as background than actual forefront, and we'd get more of a focus on the few characters they'd present (yes, few--fuck you if you want more than 20 girls in the series).

There needs to be consistent threads, too--it wouldn't be bad to do a little backstory origin on Marissa in a shout-out to the PC 98 games. Playing up the element of how whimsical and catty, dangerous, yet jovial and easy going the girls are, emphasizing that point through Reimu and how she collectively got the whole of gods, fairies, youkai, and humans to adhere to the Spell Card rules.

Nightmare Mode: Zun swallows pride and tries to help the director make SENSE of the spellcard system.

12 episodes--18 at most. We don't need a whole season or any kind of big bad. Anyone that worked on Bleach, Dragonball, Naruto, or any action shounen is not allowed near the project.

Bones or ufoTable can have the production--no to Gainax--they'd fuck it up somehow in the name of being original.

The antagonist is a male original character and his plot involves crystals somehow. After a cameo by the usual main characters in the opening scene, the only characters you see are the Eientei crew, Sakuya, and some original characters. The animation is minimal and scenes usually transition with what looks like loading screens that last several minutes. Some familiar songs turn up but they are all arranged with laughable synth samples. It ends with dull scenes of Kaguya consoling a rabbit and the characters you wish were in it instead of the boring new villains get their 10 second cameos during the end credits.
