[Anonymous No.]

This is about anikura (anime clubs) in general which are venues that often do or target anison and anison related musical events.

One of the more notable anikura in the scene is MOGRA which is a venue located in Akiba and has been going on for well over a decade. However, this is not only isolated to MOGRA because there are more anikuras all over Japan and even in a few in Akiba itself!

Another anikura which has started to get on the streaming game is Raizeen which is also located in Akiba. Another is TsukiYume which is located in Kanagawa. These are some of the anikura and I'm sure there are many more yet to be discussed!

Thus, anikura refers to the genre of anisong-centric DJ music events that take place at nightclubs, live music houses, and an array of pop-up rented venues such as gymnasiums, public parks, and rec-centers all across Japan.

The bass at that venue was absolutely crazy, easily the best sound system of any of the raves I went to during AX weekend. Sharpnel event had a few stacks but nothing compared to that last venue. Too bad the area around it was horrible, the literal street fire was something else.

How many people do you want to be with? I haven't been to Japan yet, but MOGRA at Akihabara seems to be a really small venue. According to past threads, the venue fills up for big events such as MATRIX and anniversaries/New Years Eve. If larger venues are more your thing, D-YAMA has been travelling internationally to anime cons if you want to experience it with a much larger crowd closer to home. (He's at Pittsburg right now 7/22-7/23 for Tekko and will be in San Antonio for SanJapan in September.)

To add on this and speaking from heavy experience, if you are planning to do all of anniversary, I highly recommend on drinking fluids after doing an all nighter. Personally, I like dakara. Don't forget to shower/bathe and to eat somewhat heavy a few hours before the event. Some people may end up not eating as much to cover so this is more of a suggestion based on yourself. Also, this is one of the few times carbs will be your friend. Furthermore, don't go over your drink limit. The staff there are not your babysitter. If you need a caffeine boost, they do have energy drinks / caffinated teas. Seriously, plan accordingly and pay attention to the lineup and timetable. The front will get packed! Outside of all that, try to have fun. Although I will miss out on being at anniversary next month, I'll enjoy the other event I'm a part of.
