I was a complete newfag and underage when /jp/ was created so I didn't know what the fuck was going in any board.It was until mid 08 when I started to post more frequently in /a/ and then moved onto other boards, including /jp/.
If we're talking about 2hu specifically, I started to play the games chronologically and checking out any media available since 2010.

If the entire site goes under at some point for whatever stupid reason, I'll honestly look back fondly at all the time I spent in here despite dealing with so many retards year after year.
