Good games, Rabbit Box. Excuse me for a second, I'm going to have a scrub moment here. The Youmu/Meiling match up has to be one of the shittiest fucking stupidfests this game has. Youmu is almost exactly like Meiling, except they gave her faster melee with longer reach and less delay on whiff, faster dash, stronger projectiles, slightly better zoning, more stun time on blocked projectiles, and a 4card reversal that ISN'T punishable on block. And then, to top it all of, she is so goddamn short that half of the shit I do to punish constant dash-ins completely fails; it's like someone was playing Goldeneye one day and decided to put Oddjob in a fighter, except make him half the size he normally is. Sky Dragon Kick? No point in even having that, it'll just whiff on dash, crouch, or even when fucking standing still, holy shit. 5C descending flower slam to punish rush? Fuck that shit, you're going over her head. Oh? What's this? Youmu whiffed j.8A? Well, guess I better puni--oh wait, unlike Meiling, Youmu isn't a sitting fucking duck after that.

Goddamn I hate myself.

>>4393711
Is that you, anonymous? If that's the case, it's almost understandable, they're probably quite hesitant to join your games. Even I give it second thoughts, because you normally show me quite well that my zoning, spacing, timing, and execution are quite subpar.

>> No.4394022

>>4393974
>flying all over the place

Zoning's not really my style, but I use it against you when I'm Sakuya because it's what works best. The only thing I'd have to say is that you lost some of those matches because you were getting mash-happy, causing you to eat knives and combos that you could've avoided.

Also, I'd recommend doing j.5A j.6A j.6C (myon or some shit, I don't know, I've only used Youmu once) j.44 j.5A j.6A, it'll squeeze out slightly more damage than omitting the j.5A after the j.44. I was under the impression that you already knew aerial blockstrings for her, though; I seem to recall ZomB's involving j.8A and he'd either use j.6C or j.5C.

>> No.4394032

>>4393989
Haha, Youmu's shortness is a bit of a double edged sword. I wish she was a bit taller for the sake of having better anti-air. I tried her 66C when I knew you'd jump, but it doesn't reach your toes. I have an idea what to do next time in the corners, but otherwise I wish I had more than just those blue bullets and Myon poke to work with from the air.

>> No.4394059

>>4394022
Yeah, I was missing a lot with Myon poke during those matches. Most of the time you saw me j.5C in was supposed to be the j.6C so that I could continue the combo. I know about using the j.5A to optimize the combo damage, but it's not well practiced. It's the same with the corner 5AAAAA into 623B, there are better options but I'd rather get guaranteed damage than wiff my combos.

>> No.4394060

>>4394032
Yeah, I can see that, especially when DPing is really quite risky. I just needed to let off steam, playing as Meiling really frustrates me sometimes (part of the reason I switched to Sakuya for those final sets).

Your corner pressure is much better than it used to be, but don't repeat the 5AA 3A/6A 5B string too often; it'll work a few times when I think you'll change it up to throw me off, but it'll get to the point where I get to escape from the corner for free, usually because you lead off with said string. Maybe start out with something different, then do 5AA 3A 5B or whatever you do, and then maybe 6D 2AAAA 5C hjc9 j.6A j.6C or something, I dunno. I shouldn't be giving Youmu advice at all.

It's still too soon to really tell for v1.10, but I made a chart depicting the average Tenco Glicko rating of the top 18 users for each character on the Tenco site. It would be really nice to have access to a lot of match-up data after a few months, though. Have some copypasta:

-Suwako has the greatest difference between the 1st and 18th at 494, with Iku in second at 458 (followed closely by Cirno at 454)
-Komachi has the largest top 5 player average at 2381.2, with Yuyucow in close second with 2379
-Suwako has the smallest bottom 5 player average at 1929.8, with Meiling in second at 1949.4
-Cirno has the largest average deviation from the mean rating (of Cirno players), at ~120.2; Meiling is in second at ~109.6 (where mean rating is of Meiling players)
-Despite receiving a lot of supposedly positive attention, Sanae's top 10 player rating only rose from 2102.4 to 2136.7, less than 5 points above Suwako's top 10 avg and her top 18 avg is just enough to put in her second to last
-Suika, by far, has the smallest average deviation from the mean rating of Suika players (go figure); it's sitting at ~31.5. The next smallest avgdev from mean is ~56.1 (Patchy) and ~56.8 (Sakuya).

You didn't use a 22 a single time! That's an incredible tool you're missing out on. Kills bullets, kills long range melee, works for oki and crossups; it even works as an anti-air.
22s can also help you in your approach. A lot of moves I whiff, are whiffed on purpose to see what you'll do. You don't sit still long enough for me to whiff a move that will actually let you out. So I'll whiff my 'fake' attack, and you'll run into the 'real' one.

Good games, Guy.

I'm frustrated because I copied the wrong profile and didn't have my v1.10 Marisa deck. Oh well.

Nice use of 2C by the way.

Ah, it's you

Well, I guess sometimes playing with other characters is nice. I don't want everyone to know me as the guy who only picks Patchy and has some weird ass decks. But I always forget to do it and to change it

I want to make excuses for the latter matches: I was using two decks which I want to change but forgot. Meanwhile a hurricane appeared inside the house and there was a blackout. Of course, I was 1CC-ing PCB on Lunatic while I was playing with you

So I hope my rough movements and inputs didn't annoyed you one of a bit. I was a little busy as you can see

That last match with Alice was FUCKING STUPID

Those inputs were getting dropped harder than a five year old getting shot with a horse tranq. Good games, a.a. You're supposed to block in the corner and eat the pretty Spark, not mash out of it at start-up ;_;

>>4397421
I was experimenting against a.a., and yeah, I was really missing out by not using 22. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess that, for me, the real frustrating thing is that whenever I fight you you always manage to get me just enough out of position so that your attacks land while mine whiff. Patient playing and distance measuring really isn't my style, but you seriously bring out the worst in me sometimes. I'll try to remember your advice for the next time we fight.

Nice seeing you too? I might as well break the ice myself by proclaiming "GGsGGsGGsGGs!!", even though I regarded this formality as something to first be uttered by the client rather than the host. I was sadened by the striking fact that Suwacopter was inferior to Suwalazors against Patche. I really needed that extra oki, even if it meant sacrificing preassure. Good thing I always have a lazor deck around with me for special cases like these. It did indeed get tiersome to approach your Patche with a billion dashes back and forth, while all minor bullets got swallowed by great balls of fire. Throwing some lazors instead facilitated the process a great deal.

Please do help me recall that certain match, I forgot every one of them already, you see.

Internet speed is supposedly decent at the moment, but I guess that doesn't take into account the (constant) lag spikes and random input drops.

Love the River Mist that pulled me just enough out of the corner that you got behind me for the crossup. Still a bit confused about how the first Perversion Spark hit (I was mashing the dash button the moment it was cast but I guess the 5C blockstun was just long enough for it to work). Also, 66A is not safe on block, but you often tried to 5A after it.

I love how useless level 0 623 is now. There was a round in which I think you knocked off more than half my health because I tried to 623 four times in a row and I always got hit by that j.2C j.2A combo. Good to know that it no longer works for random traps like after 66A or 6A.

Sure-Fire Spark is still quite gimmicky but I love Marisa's gimmicks, they're fun, but I think there are certain times where it CAN be safely used. I know for a fact that 5[C] has more than enough blockstun to allow you to chain the pretty spark, but you don't have someone block one of those very often. It seems that 5C is giving me mixed results, I'll have to keep on trying with that.

And yeah, I think that's the very first time I've ever been helped by River Mist. Seriously.

Oh wow. Poor Lolimew, but what a finish.

I like how he fell for that j.5A j.6A j.6C j.214B combo at the very start of the match like I did in most of our games.

I just remembered that in one of our games I somehow whiffed the dial-A into Final Spark combo, even though I activated it immediately. Wonder what that was all about.

You raped me terribly and I was desperately trying to get as much health off from you as I can. Then super armor kicked in, and for some reason you, instead of chasing me, started doing something in the corner. I was desperate enough to throw my blue-bomb-thingy spellcard, and it did hit with a KO

I found the whole scene hilarious, you were strangely holding back sometimes

It's a bad habit, but I start the match this way with almost every single character I play. Also, I have no idea what happened with that Final Spark either, but I wasn't about to complain hahaha.

It's not really rage, honestly! How do I explain it...it's pretty hard to, really. During our matches, I almost never feel in control; in fact, I feel more pressure when I'm on offense against you than on defense. It's like you know exactly what attack to throw out when to completely throw off my pressure, and you patiently wait for me to make that opening and push me back.

You're seriously the only one I've played so far that so completely throws me off like that.

Needs more bullets.
Bullets are pokes, too. Keeping bullets in front of yourself is an easy way to stop people from doing tricks in front of you.
Sometimes you have to move backwards to move forwards. A strong way to advance is normal j7 jbullet. This has a million advantages. You jump over pokes and punished whiffed melee at the same time. Graze attacks get beaten by cancelling backwards into melee or flying down. If they move back, you can just cancel forward and keep moving. If they fly up, you can also fly up to meet them, or fly back down and set them up with more bullets or unairblockable melee. After -preemptively- catching their advances with j7, they'll start to hesitate to see what you'll do first. Once they do that, you can waltz in for free.

No problem, dude. Well, awesome games Su, fun everywhere! I was going to stop soon anyways, so it's alright.

Man, I couldn't do anything against your Suwako today (not that I tried, but wow, just how many kind of traps do you have with her?). I kept falling into all these traps all over again. Seriously, I don't know if you're too good with her of if I'm just too dumb, or actually maybe both. The games against your Meiling were better because I didn't got my ass beaten so hard, but I still got some good beatings. You really managed to learn to play with her in no time, gratz.

Sorry if I didn't play much with Suika today, but I really wanted to play more with Marisa and Aya. Dem BnBs don't come as often as I would like them to come, but I'm having fun nonetheless, that's all that matters! See you around dude.
