I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that it's a fandom joke that Iku is very desperately looking for a husband, I've seen memes about it a few times already but I don't understand where it comes from or why it exists, her fandom page on the wiki doesn't mention anything about this either

Iku disapproves of this greatly, but frankly she doesn't really have all that many traits to work into fanart apart from tard wrangling tenshi, so the fanbase just made it so she's one of the desperate ones too

i dont think the angels(?) are forcing the humans the marry them, as the legend goes the other way around. The article only says that they say they can't return and insist on marrying them, so this sounds more like a guilt-trip than forced marriage. Therefore, Iku could very well be turned down by every man she tries it on if she's apparently unnatractive enough that those men don't take pity on her fabricated plight.
