What do your parents says about your anime collectibles?

My mother thinks I'm gay because she says dolls are for girls and not for men. No matter what I tell her she can't accept the fact I'm married with dolls and not reals women.

How do you persuade your parents to not think you're a society reject?

Because this was 4chan's original demographic. By and large /jp/sies are largely from nightshift /a/ and have been on 4chan for quite some time. As many other anons have said countless times, there are plenty of people on /b/ to go to if you want to talk about 'picking up', and plenty of people on /trv/ if you want to talk about 'picking up' in Japan.

I don't like normalfags. I'll be honest, I think normal people are the cancer killing 4chan. Look at /b/'s front page, it's all 'my girlfriend' this and 'my girlfriend' that, it's nothing but posturing bravado in my eyes and it doesn't contribute to the overrall quality of a board. Want to know why night time /a/ and previously night time /v/ were remembered so fondly? Because most of the people on 4chan at 2:00am PST are not 'normal' considering societal definition, often abnormal people are the most creative though, they take out their abnormality in artistic ways. That's why so many of them are good at creative writing (look at how many famous authors have been abnormalfags). And I'm not talking serial killer abnormal or, or anyone who feels the need to identify with pathetic subcultures like emo or scene, I'm talking about people who are just quite cynical and have an understanding of the term 'dry wit'.

In short, normal people are boring - they talk about normal things, their normal life with their normal girlfriend at their normal school/college/workplace with their normal friends eating their normal food and retiring to their normal apartment/house. They aren't interesting. Take that horse head dude on Nico Nico, he's clearly as abnormal as they come, yet he's absolutely hilarious as a result. The world would be fucking BORING without people like that. My room is filled with figs and other weeaboo merchandise, but I suppress my power levels in public. This usually works out fine, and I'm by no means a social reject doing all the binge drinking and partying that a normal college student goes though. However, it's hard making very close relationships with people when I always make lame excuses when they want to see my apartment. The worst part is with women; I've lost many opportunities to get laid just so I could keep them away from my figure collection. Kind of sad, though I don't really miss it. 3D is pig disgusting, after all.

Indeed normal people are boring. I stay away from normal people. For some reason it seems that most people here supress their powerlevel. I don't do that at all. But then again, I don't live at home, don't have friends nearby to visit me, since there are so few other rejects like me, and I have no girlfriend. I don't have too many figures, but with the expensive display cases they do get your attention quite easily in my apartment. Most of my stuff is Gundam kits.

I never heard my mom comment on it, but she's quite impressed by the cosplay I do so I guess the figs don't bother her.
My dad is dead now but 2 years prior to his death he tried to get to know me more so he attended some conventions with me. He even added a Sakura Taisen poster to his office.

The worst thing however is that my whole family thinks I'm a total weeaboo. I mean, I am, to some degree. But everytime they see something related to Japan they think I'm bound to like it. Like last time when my aunt offered me CDs with japanese ceremonial music for tea ceremonies. What the hell. "But it's from Japan!"

the only problem I had so far(as I said) was the tape which keeps the cases at the wall. somehow the tape was bad. but the cases never broke. to make shure the case doesn't break strenghten it with some super glue. It holds every PVC figurine. resin is too heavy though.
