It's also worth noting that, besides being renown for being heavy drinkers in a country that consumes quite a lot of alcohol to begin with, many culinary specialties of the region of Bretagne are very... unrefined, in a way. They're tasty for sure but they're far from the clichés of fancy french food with a name that drags on. 99.9% of them include an indecent amount of butter, or the fattest kinds of pork meat.

It's a poorly known fact, but all of Mugenkan is actually very rural and rough around the edges in some ways.
Obviously Elly is fond of cider, apples and pork, Kurumi talks with a country drawl that takes a little getting used to, and Yuuka might seem to be a wholly refined lady with impeccable tastes, but enjoys farming and getting her fingernails dirty more than would be acceptable to someone like Remi if she knew about it.
