I once was in love with a Rei. She lived very far away from me unfortunately. I found her on internet. I've never spoken to her. She didn't have a boyfriend when I found her. I can remember when I first saw her: so cute, so pretty. I found her on this very site. I imagined what she was like in person. I dreamed. I day-dreamed. I started saving some pictures of her until two years later I had nearly a thousand pictures of her. I should have realized it sooner: a girl with that many pictures, she must be nothing like Rei. She must be nothing like me. I should have realized that I only fell in love with my fantasies and my dreams. I fell in love with myself.

I kept saving pictures until one day I found a video of her. At last, I would finally hear her speak. I did hear her speak, and it was beautiful indeed. Here was a girl that was the complete opposite of Rei. She was the complete opposite of... me. Finally I could feel good about falling in love with a girl because I knew she wasn't anything like me. She was a lot better.

I did fall in love once, but it was too late. She had already gotten a boyfriend. It wasn't like I had a chance anyway, but the delusional belief that I had a chance... that was what hurt the most when it was ripped out of me by a girl who looked like Rei.
