How is Archer emo?

He doesn't lay around brooding and bitching about his situation without doing anything to change it. Instead he gets up and he tries to change it, and when he can't change it to what it needs to be, he does something epic and bad assed to save his Master and the Loli. Well, except in Unlimited Blade Works, but I'll get to that in a minute.

He even gives Shirou a chance to prove himself, to show that he's not like Archer was at that age before Archer decides to actively try to kill him. (Remember, when Caster had Shirou for the first time, Archer asked if Shirou was going to thank him and Shirou just bitched at him. Then Archer attacked.)

He even came up with an epic plan to pair Saber with Rin after he took care of Shirou so everyone would be taken care of after both Emiya's were gone.

It didn't work that way and he went batshit crazy at that point and kidnapped Rin. He then fought his younger self, realized that his dream didn't suck and then proceeded to get stabbed by Gilgamesh to protect his younger self. Then he comes back and saves the day like a Big Damn Hero.

Archer's not emo. He's angry yes and has a horrible case of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, but he is not emo. It's like saying a soldier coming back from war is emo because he's got issues about killing people or seeing a bunch of kids blown up.

Archer's not emo, he's almost as much of a bro as Lancer is, and makes you fucking GAR in that slut's route.

In Fate, he saved Shirou, Rin and Saber from getting owned by Berserker and prompted them to have the threesome.

In UBW he saved Shirou three times and he saved Rin from the giant flesh grail. It was also revealed that he saved the world in his life time as well.

In Heaven's Feel he took the hit from the Shadow meant for Rin, got Shirou to protect Ilya, then proceeded to cut off his own arm and give it to Shirou so Shirou would live and kick ass to save everyone else.

So yes, he saved people.
