It's very funny that there's also a character in Seihou named Mai (girl on the right). And she's also part of a dual boss fight. It's impressive how every Mai's name is written differently in Japanese. PC98 Mai's name is in katakana. Seihou Mai's name is in hiragana. While windows Mai's name is in kanji.
ZUN helped out with the first two Seihou games in between MS and EoSD, if you didn't know.
