Dear /jp/,

Back when you were in middle/high school, did you always eat lunch alone? Go directly home as soon as your last class ended without stopping to talk to anyone? What did you do when you got home from school?

Try /r9k/. Or /a/, they seem to like discussing that kind of off-topic nonsense. But not here.

I think it is good /jp/ thread

Inevitably the first few replies on most /jp/ threads seems to be trolls. But it looks like I hit a nerve.

I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious how /jp/'s school years compare to mine.

I had, still have, that same group of close friends that I talk to so no I wasn't an outcast loser.

>Back when you were in middle/high school, did you always eat lunch alone?
I didn't eat lunch at all. I could never manage to make a lunch that I didn't feel ashamed eating, or that wasn't disgusting or ruined by the time I got to eating it.

>Did you always eat lunch alone?
No. It varies throughout the years. In my first year, I ate lunch with my three friends from middle school. In the second year, I ate lunch with five friends I'd made in the first year of middle school; my three friends were in different classes and had made their own friends by then.

The third year was with three friends, because I had a falling out with two. Then I changed schools and ate lunch with a group of seven or so. I've never really eaten lunch alone.

>Go directly home as soon as your last class ended without stopping to talk to anyone?
There was this girl I liked, and I'd usually hang around to wait for her, talk with her, walk her home or take a swing through the nearby park and everything. I also habitually waited for a friend of mine whose classes ended later than me, or I'd go around the shopping centre to look around for some books or look at the latest games (without ever buying). Sometimes a few friends and I'd hit up the snackbar.

>What did you do when you got home from school?
Usually help my mother clean around the house, then do some homework and play games with my brothers, or go grocery shopping with my mother, re-organise my room or walk the dog.

Does that help?

Trolls? Hardly. What does the OP have anything to do with the board topic? Nothing. The closest this comes to is a ronery thread, but those aren't welcome anymore.

Like I said, /a/ loves to engage in this kind of off-board topic "talk about yourselves" threads, so try there instead.

Secondary school: I ate with my circle of friends, most days. This friendship was mostly restricted to school. I met them outside, like, five times in five years.
Sixth form and uni: alone. Do not pass Go go directly home, aye. When I got home I'd have a fap, play some vidya, troll on Internet forums.

I went to a small, all-male highschool, so there was very little emphasis placed upon social status, not much bad blood, no drama, etc. Everybody had a core group of close friends, but the entire atmosphere was low-key and friendly. I ate with the same 10 friends pretty much every day, but the lineup would change slightly every now and then, because we were all bros.

Man, college was a slap in the face after that.

>/jp/ - Japan/General

That's why we have so many threads about Japan, right?

Besides, judging from the fact that people are responding to the topic, I'd say there is an interest in it. That you don't like it is irrelevant. Run along to another thread if it upsets you.

I had a couple of good friends who I ate lunch with everyday in high school. I played baseball my freshman and sophomore year, was student council vice-president my junior year, and was student council president my senior year. In my junior and senior years, I had a part time job at the local library.

Yeah it sucked. Back when I was in hs lunch was served on a ticket system. They hand you a book of tickets that you ripe off every day to give to the counter. So all someone had to do was jump you on the first day and take your whole book before you can keep it safely at home.

By that logic, anime and video games from Japan are Japan-related too. And you know what happens to those threads.
