You've got to understand her, it's really not easy being Shinki. She's getting old and she craves this unique feeling she's read about. She would love nothing more than a distant, but no distant child she can pamper while her mother appreciates the support she offers, even if she believes grandma's being a little too nice. She's even starting to get these urges at home, always offering a 2nd plate to her daughters and thinking they all look so skinny.
It doesn't help that she keeps getting teased about potential pretendants for one of her daughters sadly not delivering.
Believe it or not, but Yuki had managed to snatch herself a fine boy a month or so ago. Don't ask me how or what that boy saw in her, but fact of the matter, he was there and on top of that, their 1st date had gone extremely well. That boy had taken Yuki to a Bowling arcade, and according to Yuki, they both enjoyed themselves.
But in her typical naivety, Yuki thought it would be a good idea to bring her "best friend" Mai to the 2nd date, so that she could introduce her to the boy. Mai eventually spilled the beans to Louise a week later, but she did everything in her power to ruin everything. At one point they were walking at the park, and Mai put her left leg right in front of where Anon was walking, and unsurprisingly, Anon fell to the ground. Mai did her best Yuki impression and laughed for a few seconds, before lashing out at Yuki as if she had done nothing, claiming Yuki to be a terrible friend and unreliable.
Later on during the date, she also unbuttoned her top while the three of them were having ice cream, and approached the boy intently, pressing her modest chest against him and showing off the fancy bra she had decided to wear that day. Yuki may be nice, but she has a bit of a short temper, and so in a most unfortunate gesture of hers, she slapped the boy's face and called him a pervert, before bursting into tears and apologising for this most unfortunate hit. Mai seemed delighted at Yuki's breakdown and "reassured" her, telling her that she really isn't ready for this whole dating thing. And so, Mai had convinced both Yuki & the boy she had managed to get a few dates with that they weren't made for each other, at least for the time being.
Needless to say, Shinki was less than delighted to hear all of this, but she really can't do much about it. Mai's got a fair bit of independance, and she's too much of a sweetheart to threaten her own daughter. She really is as powerless as an overly nice parent in front of their tyranic kid.

Once, Elis was walking by with her cousin (Kurumi), and Elis was having fun telling a lengthy joke in the form of a story. Mai saw this, and ran over to ask what they were talking about.
Kurumi, ever the polite (if a little rough) country girl she is, told her Elis was telling her about her romantic exploits. Mai happened to know that Elis actually just loves telling obscene jokes and stories, and interjected, telling Kurumi that Elis was still a virgin, and spoiled the ending to the joke, ruining at least five minutes of buildup, and forever making Elis no longer the cool older cousin in Kurumi's eyes.
Ever since, Elis has gone to vist Kurumi, and not the other way around.
Mai is truly the epitome of a buzzkill.

Unfortunately, Yumeko is too much of a doormat of a person to have such convictions in her. The only time she'd do such a thing is if Shinki asks her, because Shinki rarely has the heart to punish her daughters. Shinki really did enter her grandma phase - she can't say no to her daughters, her attempts at punishing her daughters sound more like mildly annoyed complaints more than anything.
This "literal doormat" aspect of Yumeko has been an unfortunate detriment to her chances in the dating game. She is the most willing to obey Shinki's requests to make an account on Makainet's various dating apps, yet despite her great looks, she has been most unsuccessful in finding a man. It seems that the Makainese men don't exactly fancy marrying someone that's more or less a servant, as odd as it may sounds. As mischevious as Makainese people are, they are always seeking for the more adventurous types, which Yumeko isn't. She's equally as awful at pretending, if you could even say she tried. The amount of emotions seen on Yumeko's face is probably as plentiful as the amount of light you can find in a black hole.
It's really unfortunate that this whole tourist agency setup died prematurely, the few books Shinki managed to gather from that buddhist monk that once made her way to Makai seem to tell that Yumeko would be most desirable for many boys in the surface. But alas, hardly any of them will ever make their way to Makai, and so Yumeko is left with Makainese boys who don't see anything in her. Maybe if they've been archived, i'll try to find the short lived conversation Yumeko had with a Makainese boy who liked her profile without reading her profile. It was a pretty sad sight. He kept trying to ask her interests and try to get their first date to be something a little scandalous, like lighting fireworks next to a retirement home, but Yumeko just kept disagreeing, and not even in a particularly convinced way. Even in virtual conversations, Yumeko doesn't use exclamation marks. She writes as robotically as she is...

Turns out Mai does like sweets, just like any other little shit. Elis took advantage of this, and made a *special* batch of brownies laced with laxatives, and made sure to mention it to Yuki (who was naturally being belittled by Mai at the time), and handed her an oh-so-delicious treat, knowing the little egotist she's "friends" with would snatch it away from her and get taken by the taste.
A few hours later, and Mai's in the bathroom gripping onto the toilet as she blasts her insides out, her ass spewing hot diahorroea like a hawiian volcano.
The smell hung over her for a day or two afterward, and she still can't look at chocolate.
Too bad she never learned her lesson, though.

It's been a month or so since the incident that led to Yuki & her potential boyfriend breaking up. Somehow, Yuki is doing just fine, or so did the other Makai residents thought.
She's been a bit of a mess as of late. She could just be brimming with energy as she always is, but it seems that emotional breakdowns have become more and more frequent. Just a few days ago, Yuki was eating at the Makai dining room as usual when seemingly out of nowhere, she dug her head down against her arms, folded them, and cried really loudly while tapping against the table with her clenched fist. She kept shouting the name of what could have been her beloved and apologising to her long since gone pretendant.
Shinki was busy this evening so it was up to big sis Louise to comfort Yuki & hold her in her arms while spouting empty catch all phrases, like "There's plenty of fishes in the sea!". As Yuki buried herself against Louise's impressive bosom, Louise couldn't help but give Mai a few death glares, as if to tell her that she really went too far this time. Mai only offered a shrug and came closer to agree with the shallow advice Louise gave to Yuki.
When it seemed like Yuki had been through the worst of it all and finally got her head out of Louise's chest and dared to look up to her, it would start again. It took about 5 fakeouts before Yuki stopped crying for good. Louise can't bear this, she's got places to visit! She doesnt want to be a babysitter/dating counselor her whole life! Even she was thinking of perhaps more actively putting herself out there in the Makainese dating game so that Yuki could be free of using up her goodwill to try & please Lady Shinki, only to have it crushed by her Judas of a friend, even if it would highly compromise her dreams of endless tourism & sightseeing!
Such is the way of life in Makai these days... Will Shinki ever be able to claim the title of grand mother? Will any of her daughters ever fulfill her wish and hopefully find happiness & blossoming in sharing life with someone?

Louise often joins Sacchan when she goes out for a few drinks with her friends from hell. She enjoys their intelligent and mature conversations, and the peaceful break from the often highly eventful Makai environment. Yuki and Mai's fights are famous Makaiwide for being random and excessively painful.
Louise has been thinking of stepping in lately, but everyone tells her that it's more trouble than just letting them do their thing, which is a shame since Yuki is in tears bawling her heart out nearly every time Mai's done with her.
Really, she's just a mess each and every time.
