They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with the most era games.

▶How to play?
Run anchor.exe (or Emuera, depending on the game), japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

▶Tips
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

I thought it could be neat to build you own sword as a danmaku item. The idea being you incorporate it into you spellcards like Youmu does. Kogasa can make it and depending on your relationships with other 2hus you can add onto it like seals, charms, and blessings. Give Youmu a character specific command to train your combat skill if you have one. I wouldn't go so far as add more skills unless they were going to actually get used. Kogasa is a master blacksmith in the first place, so there's no reason to go further than that. Use some materials from foraging and make it a character specific command for her with some variation of cost and dialogue depending on relationship. Make it, name it something like Santana or Chunchumaru and start increasing its power so you can take EX level danmaku duels easier.
For buffs, maybe Reimu can add seals to the sheath so carrying a youkai blade isn't so taxing on you. Ran can add a tuft of her fur to the hilt as a good luck charm and buff your dice rolls. Yukari can apply some of her bullshit power to let you cut common sense for better grazing. Youmu can teach you fencing and techniques so you can use it in danmaku and go logging with it. Suwako applies a cursing effect to reduce your opponents dice rolls. There's a lot of things other 2hus can help with and gives you reason to seek those girls out.

What would even be the point?
The value of Era games comes from the content in them, something built up over years from dozens if not hundreds of writers.
Building a new engine that just does the same in a different language just creates an immediate barrier for existing writers, and necessitates a huge amount of work to port the existing dialogue over to the new system.
Sure, maybe the new framework can do more than Era code, but by the time you reach the point you'd really get any value out of it, you're out hundreds, if not thousands, of manhours that could've been spent on creating new content for TW.
And really, Era as it is can handle dialogue pretty well, which has always been the main appeal of TW. It doesn't need to do complex gameplay, it just needs writing autism. A new engine would exist for the sake of everything except the main appeal of this game.

Nope. I loaded the same save that I was loading when I was encountering the dating bug. I happened to keep the version I was using before your dating fix and went back to check, and nobody has the Trojan Souled trait when I load in using the same save on that old version. It's only changed in between the updates.

Nah, the whole reason the event is so memorable is because it's consistently depicted as a terrible thing, Kaguya knows it's a terrible thing and the fear of her eventually inflicted it on the player is what makes her hesitant to get involved with them in the first place, and she only actually goes through with it because she has a complete mental breakdown and is eventually driven insane by the idea that she might not even spend one lifetime with you by her side due to her paranoia that other women are going to steal you away from her, so she deludes herself into thinking that if she feeds the player the elixir, that means that eventually, she'll be the only woman to remain, allowing her to live her happy life with her husband.
The whole narrative hinges on it being a terrible thing with terrible consequences that doesn't end well for anybody involved, not even Kaguya herself, who is left quite deranged, which is a large part of why it's such a memorable aspect of this game. It's just a neat bit of storytelling that no other part of the game really replicates, and it would lose its impact if there's a "good" scenario to the player taking the elixir. It's something a saner Kaguya simply wouldn't want for her husband.

They aren't nearly as bad as UM was, though. Most games offer some decent characters that tie in well into existing groups, or form neat little groups of their own. Think of WBaWC giving us the beast matriarchs and their dynamics, as well as various characters that tie into the existing Hell group (though the main villain and her underling sucked); or HSiFS that introduced the highly active Okina, as well as Larva; or LoLK, where most of the cast was relevant and ties in well with the existing cast; or DDC, which provided the Grassroots Network (and some extremely irrelevant musichus).
Unconnected Marketeers, on the other hand, doomed itself from the get-go, even with its title. Most of the characters don't relate to anyone else, so they're just kinda there to stand by themselves, but they don't really have enough of a personality to have any significant appeal.
I guess there's a new tengu now, but she's just kind of a cunt, and LE just decided that she's friends with Chimata now, even though both of them were just using each other for their own gain during UM, which I guess just doesn't fucking matter now. Dropping plot threads like that and killing any conflict off-screen is just awful writing, though I guess it's par for the course for Lotus Eaters. That entire manga is a joke.

The only thing that can save Touhou now is a new fairy manga.
