5C, then high jump cancel and 5C again, then 5C before you land. Doing variations of that will beat beginners.

Although Patchy is slow in melee, I believe she has pretty good priority. She does lack a graze attack though, so you may have to rely on well timed 236C to clear opponent bullets. Her alternate skill cards are really good for powering up her melee or reducing her vulnerability to melee.

Sanae is only really good at keep away, though you can occasionally put on some decent pressure if you get a chance. Pick another character if you want something interesting.

But in all seriousness, there are various ways of playing Sanae. She can clutter the screen with projectiles and traps (alt. 623 Wind Tunnel, alt 214 Earth Goddess: Snare, and either alt 22 Sky Serpent or alt 22 Cobalt Spread, hj8 j.2C)--a fairly boring and slow but fairly effective method. I played a fairly straightforward rushdown style, which was somewhat lacking because of her weak melee back in v1.03 and below, but now that her melee is buffed it's probably more viable.

It's hard to describe what strategies to use in general. I suggest downgrading to v1.03, downloading the Sanae replay pack ( http://kupax.com/files/9790_xy6cg/Sanae%201.03%20Replays.rar ) and watching them to get an idea of how to play her, then adapting to v1.10. Personally, my style of play was greatly shaped by the guy "sadfacesanae", but he no longer plays here.

66c cannot be airblocked so it catches jumps, is safe on block at long range, and if it counterhits, can be comboed into a super. 623c grazes now, but 623b gets no melee invul until you level it to 1. C bullets and j8a are great tools on hit and block. J2a crosses up if done right above the opponent, and can be comboed into dragon meteor, but it's pretty hard to hitconfirm. That and master spark can be confirmed from 66b, but meteor needs wallbounce at the right range. Spark can be done midscreen.

My miko got embarrassed, so I must retreat for now. Hope it didn't bother you too much that I spent a while messing around with characters I suck at. I can't really give you too much advice on any of the ones you played except for Alice and Remilia. For Alice I'd say don't try too much to rely in dolls for your damage. Alice's dolls are primarily helpful when used to set up cross-ups, mix-ups, and positioning traps in conjunction with her powerful melee abilities. If you want to play Alice, first work on getting used to melee abilities and their range.

For Remilia, I guess just work on exploring the full range of her moves. I noticed you didn't really use her 236B/C at all, and that move can be extremely useful when learning Remi to close the distance, as it's a pretty fast melee attack that grazes.

Oh, in that case you should check out your controller configuration and look for the D button. Double tapping for a dash has different flight characteristics compared to using the graze button, which is usually used for advanced combos. The graze button on the other hand let's you 8 way directional flight for as long as you have spirit orbs.

Also, I'm not sure, but you might need to update to 1.03 and then 1.10. My friend was having the same problem updatingHisoutensoku, so we had to play SWR.
Also, if you make a custom deck, make sure to include 4 cards for a specific skill (this allows you to max it, and in effect it becomes more powerful). There are also some useful system cards here. http://hisouten.koumakan.jp/wiki/Spellcards
There is a list of skillcards for each character as well. I hope that helps!
