The site strips exif data, while most phones do their photo rotation as exif metadata rather than as actual edits. You can fix it in your phone's image editor should it have one, or in GIMP which is free.

I use a Nikon DF, that shot was with an 85mm, I personally believe it's the best focal length for Fumo pictures since it allows you to compress your subject and background and have nice bokeh and sharpness without having to distort your subject as you would with a wider lens. Here's one in the Alps with a 50mm however

That's a pretty narrow depth of field, but it looks nice anon.
Not really a photography guy, but I watched a bunch of documentaries on Kubrick, and a major part of that was all the lenses and shit he used.
Would it be overkill, then, to find NASA lenses for Fumo shots?

I didn't want a depth of field too shallow for this one, because I wanted to show the mountains behind Reimu.
As for the NASA lenses, they are quite incredible but aren't really that useful with digital sensors that can have way higher sensitivity than film, and shooting on f/0.7 would completely remove the background out of the composition, and I like having the background being part of my photos, especially with Fumos as I like having them be part of the outdoors and having a nice background is essential in that effect

As an italian who did more or less the same for a friend in argentina (except I bought it from buyee so it was like double the base price for the fumo), you can make it with just around 90 euros (40 for the fumo, 15 for shipping to italy, 35 for international shipping with poste italiane).
Amiami only offers preorders nowadays though, they all ship six months after you've added them to your cart, so your best bet is to look for fumos on YJA through buyee and then buy one on zenmarket (slightly cheaper shipping). They cost around 80 instead of 40, but you can choose the one you want and you'll have it in less than a month.
Do ask her what's her favorite though, "doesn't seem to want a specific one" sounds like bullshit for someone who's allegedly a big fan.

Latin america is actually fucked right now, partially due to lawlessness AND government intervention.
You will NOT be able to send anything of value into Venezuela, it will simply be stolen by the customs agents.
Several countries in latin america have laws over dolls, shoes, toys, etc.
For example, in mexico anything that has humanoid features, such as legs, arms, and hands, need a specific document from the manufacturer that details the exact materials used.
Reason? Dolls are for babies and the materials must be baby-safe and non toxic.
Venezuela probably wont even have a codified law about it they'll just steal your package once it enters the country.

This is not going to work. You're better off just emailing her a fumo template so she can sew one up herself.

Hey anons, newfag here. Genuine question, why did Fumos get so popular? I think they look really cute and all, but fumos are niche jap game plushies that seem to have been forced into existence through memes. I can’t quite pin the origins of where the phenomenon started, or why so many people began collecting them. Obviously the number one reason would be because of memes and because they’re cute dolls, but the thing I don’t get is that there are plush toys with softer fabrics and better graphical details, so I don’t know how fumos were able to beat those plushies.

That's exactly the point. Other dolls are more detailed, but that actually makes them more, let's say, "individualized". A doll with lots of details can only be considered "a doll of character X from game Y", and people who don't know the game or character will hardly be interested in it.
Meanwhile, fumos are much simpler than usual, to the point of looking almost generic, so even people who don't know the games can find them cute and interesting. Reimu's fumo is just "a doll of a japanese shrine maiden" and Marisa's is "a doll of a young blonde witch".
The point about the fabrics is good, but it's again someting most people don't ever notice.

I tried prompting AI to write a book about fumos

It's dark youmu from the licensed gacha spinoff.
Basically normal youmu, but more edgy (hah hah)
I'll just assume that Youmu is close enough that I can tell you without explaining the B-rate plot of that game.
Basically, Youmu Konpaku is a half-human, half-ghost that weilds two swords, Roukanken, and Hakuroken, The former can cut through anything, short of weird demon stuff, and the other can slice through reasoning, effectively cutting through the soul.

As for her personality, she's dorky and overly serious, while still managing to be extremely naive. She serves her master Yuyuko in the netherworld, (basically a minor heaven for artists, very calm and serene, in fact overly so) and her duties are just feeding her and training.

As for how someone can be half ghost and half human, this isn't like a centaur, but rather her species is half phantom half human, i.e., she has a floating phantom half that follows her, and isn't subject to some human limitations.

Oh, and when I say dorky, I mean dorky.
She is scared shitless by the slightest thing, including ironically ghosts, despite living in a place where they wander around all the time and being effectively one herself in a few ways.

If you really want to resale, don't take her out of the packaging.
But if you don't plan on doing so anytime soon, feel free to not, the prices are exorbitant as they are.
Take photos of her in funny places, give her knives, give her a plate of food, etc.
They aren't really all that delicate, but a wash every so often is a good idea.
Sometimes some details can get a little frayed, but that's over like ten years.
Enjoy her, and take care of her.

I know it's not that related but Black Youmu is basically Youmu if she was Kerry except she gets depression after cutting time and space so much that Yuyuko's soul gets shaved down to almost nothingness.
