What is one of those classic console games to play in japanese, that has not too complex writing? (also I'm just assuming emulators already have a text to clipboard function of sort)

I was thinking something like Chrono Trigger (or Cross) or FF

Now that I'm at this stage it seems to me that anki is actually a lot more useful for the step above basic vocab that you see everywhere. You don't need anki to learn 正しい, 食べる or even 状態.

But then you start running into more middle-of-the-road words like 低迷, 変貌, 遺書, 結託, and that kind of shit is never going to show up often enough in input to fix itself in your head naturally the same way as core 6000 vocab does (I guess unless you're inputting for like 4+ hours a day), but is still common enough that you definitely want to acquire it.

I've probably spent over a thousand hours learning Japanese and don't have a basic understanding of the language.

First did all of remembering the kanii and then realized I didn't know shit so got demoralized and quit. Went back years later and learned by playing eroge with a texthooker and just look up each word and learning grammar by Google translate more complex sentences. Also adding sentences that I can understand but with kanji I don't know to an Anki deck. But I've been doing this for like 300 hours and barely understand shit.

What should I actually be doing to understand this shit. Should I get core 2k.

Does anyone feel like theres a sort of pattern to the hiragana? I mean obviously there are as it was made by one person and that person went off something, however I feel it may be highly abstract at best, but I feel like AI will be able to figure out what this pattern is in its relation to the sound it makes and other variables. And I wonder if this pattern would be helpful for letting newer people learn japanese as you would know what to look for, albeit its only a part of it, but getting one foot in the door is the hardest issue. Not that I want more foreigners in Japan, I personally plan on radicalizing the Japanese population to fight against gaikokujin like myself. That wasnt a joke btw. We must keep Japan pure.

it doesn't matter if translation is off, it's still very useful to piece together what the sentence is meant to mean in japanese. you'll still be able to notice when the english translate does something liberally

I know because this is what im doing with tsukihime r. your only problem is whether you've got the motivation to read it in japanese. I used bits off fate stay night as practice as well, because the web port is really useful for this

having read it before is good but don't look at the translation while you're reading it a second time. But directly comparing sentences to translations is a horrible way to learn. The only way to cripple yourself faster is to use mtl

い adjectives modify nouns. As written 青い modifies の as though のりんご were a compound noun, which is nonsense. Here's an example correct usage of ~い + の

青いのがほしい

>> No.43048799

>>43048733
Maybe you're confusing it with this grammar:

リンゴの皮が青い the apple's skin is blue
皮が青いリンゴ an apple with blue skin

I sort of get a vague feeling it sounds a bit △, not sure why. In any case when が is used in a subordinate clause like this it can be substituted with の, which definitely sounds more ○:

皮の青いリンゴ an apple with blue skin

I find it a little weird that people don't put a definition in even if it's Japanese Definition. I guess it's for naturally understanding/absorbing it but I'm an english native and still look up definitions. It's probably faster to do it that way cause then you don't have to memorize the meaning
