Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese-developed text porn games.
They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with the most era games.

>How to play?
Run anchor.exe (or Emuera, depending on the game), japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there are guides currently in the TW folder (in #Translation) on what to do, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:
K: ERB/口上
TW: ERB\口上・メッセージ関連\個人口上

You can also report bugs or typos here on the thread when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

We're never given any reason to believe that the elixir causes any visible changes, and Kaguya's hair is black, unlike Mokou and Eirin's inhuman white hair. CiLR also has Kaguya express how she thinks she and Eirin are changing due to Earth's impurity after she lifted the spell of eternity, though that appears to be mostly about their mentality, rather than outwardly visible differences.

It might just be a self-image thing; as Mokou started seeing herself as older and less human, and hair changed to express that, and would remain as such even after resurrecting.

You don't really need much to write a character, anyway. If you can figure out the most basic of IF statements, you can write enough dialogue to create something respectable. Parsee's author even went as far as to translate most of the standard commentary for character events and commands, so there's an easy skeleton to use for anyone who's actually willing to do something.

Sure, I don't think you'd be in any real danger aside from a few weirdos like Rumia. If there was anything I'd worry about, it's that Medicine might accidentally (intentionally?) kill you, but you aren't going to be stumbling on that by accident. But while youkai can't literally eat you but they'd certainly attack you long before you got close enough to hit the skinship button. Part of the reason spell cards were created was so youkai could still do their hunting human thing and Reimu wouldn't need to stop them since the human wouldn't die in the process.

TW and most characterization notably leans towards monogamy, though.
