My theory is Shannon went for George just to get away from the bitch Moon-chan. While I wouldn't phrase it the way you did, I do agree that the culprit, who claims to be Beatrice, has some unresolved issues with Battler. However, I can see how Jessica at least can still be the culprit due to the fact that both Shannon's and Krauss' corpses in EP1 are the only two that can not be confirmed to be dead, though why Jessica would wait until the end of the episode to dispose of both of her parents is beyond me.
