Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese-developed text porn games.
They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with the most era games.

>How to play?
Run anchor.exe (or Emuera, depending on the game), japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there are guides currently in the TW folder (in #Translation) on what to do, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:

You can also report bugs or typos here on the thread when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them.

What i discovered and tips in general.

>Invest on capture skills
Captured officers = extra soldiers. Especially if the faction is stronger than you you can easily get 20-30k soldiers tops per one officer (but it depends on how power they are). Skills stack.

>Dont rely on summoning, duplication abilities
One demon sealing can fuck you up if the enemy activates it. It will be 1 officer vs 3 officers. But its very good for early game. Just dont be reliant on it. (Ran, Youmu, Yukari, Sanae, Alice) has these skills.

>Skills can stack in combat
If you buy Skill++. skill+ and skill the three of them can activate. I discovered this on the capture ability.

>Get the low skill officers
You can use them as defense/garrison officers. You just have to train them. Its really fast.

>Get tewi
Tewi enables you to get skills for capturing backline citie with little to no risks. I utilized her skills and got 4-5 backline cities and traded them back for soldiers and more economic power

Traits are important on both ends, you can get one that helps raise submission, from what I remember humiliating them generally works, except on a few who will just get angry.
Nightcrawling does require you to meet a certain stat threshold that depends on your target to even start it though, depending on your stats it might not be viable. That being said, diplomacy is still a powerful tool even if you don't supplement it with sexual assault.

Right now im trying to try out lily whites soldier increase skills + Satono trying to farm soldiers. Every single fight it gives 1500-2000 iirc. My soldiers jumped to 8k to 10k if it activates.

The game uses Anchor, just like TW used to until recently, so I'm just using Sugoi set to DeepL mode and it works. It's better if you enable "Ignore <> tags" on the clipboard settings otherwise sugoi will try to show images and fail.
Running era-clipboard also helps with filtering some of the lines, but it's probably not as essential as it is on TW when you let girls have the initiative.

It's just a filter, although a pretty useful one. You just keep it open and it grabs the clipboard's output before it reaches sugoi, and filters out any lines that don't contain moonrunes. It also filters anything included in the era_filter txt, which comes by default with satori's ascii art which tends to clutter sugoi.
I had to raise the character limit from 250 to 400 and set these couple settings for it to work the way I like it.
