Companies do not have deferred tax assets or liabilities because the financial reports that are given to the public are the exact same ones given to the taxing authorities. This is different from the United States where financial reports given to the IRS differ from the ones given to the SEC.

I don't know anything about individuals, though I assume they pay taxes.

What is the tax rate on a typical income?

I worked in Singapore for a while and was amazed at only paying 5% tax (compared to 30% at home)
