You're really misunderstanding the setting. Competition among men for a particular monster girl species or individual is very rare, it's normally the opposite. Not sure what you mean by population ratio either. Yes there are more men than women, but pretty much all except the excess men end up with human woman. Monsters then compete for those excess men. And since most species don't just take the first man they see but wait to encounter a man that "strikes their fancy" it's not unusual for them to wait a fair bit of time before marrying.

Heck, despite how much lust they have, a lot of monsters apparently don't even go out looking for a mate until after they're full grown. For them developing their powers, getting ready to get a husband (such as preparing a perfect room to take him back to), get done first.
