I don't think those keywords actually do anything at least with the model I'm using (anythingv3). I've completely dropped those sorts of keywords from my prompts.
I think they may even do more harm than good, as it's just noise diluting rest of your prompt. Same thing with excessive negative prompts.
Keep it simple, stupid.

That's the thing, I didn't ask for anything. The only relevant keywords I used were "full body", "snow", and what's become my favorite keyword, "scan". That's literally all, and it gave me these beautiful compositions.
What makes them low-quality though is the characters always look bit off and poorly made. Too obvious it's AI.

That's because I intentionally try to make them as simple as possible. I make sure every tag I use is actually effective and recognized by the AI.
Then I can mix a relatively few keywords I know the effects of with specific weights and get something really unique looking out of a model known for generic output.
Those insanely long prompts some people use are complete garbage, 95% of it doesn't do anything except add noise and dilute the actually effective tags.

Try to actually study what the AI thinks of any specific keyword. I especially think anons are also sleeping on the power of negative prompts, there's some really interesting things you can do with them. For example "clannad" is very effective at controlling the slant of eyes. Positive is obvious but negative makes them slant inward, useful for some characters. Then of course the negative "cell shading" I found last thread is far more effective at adding detailed shading than directly asking for it with "highly detailed" or such. Negative "monochrome" and "pale_color" are way more effective and have less side-effects than positive "colorful" and "vibrant". Etc.

It's fun to try different things and see what happens. Sometime you're trying to make a character and it doesn't quite gives the result you were expecting but it can still surpise you with something beatiful.

Literally just practice and play around until you have what you want. Other anons in this thread (and the larger if more schizophrenic thread on /g/) have good tips but there is no 'silver bullet' so to speak. One of my favourite lazy time-savers is to search for images off danbooru, stick 'em in the image to image tab, then hit 'interrogate deepbooru' and let the AI come up with (its approximation of) the terms used to build the image. Combined with a few generic 'good' prompts (masterpiece, best quality, realistic, detailed, sketch) you can get a good image quite quickly, which you can then play around with.
Apart from that though it is really just a combination of being as descriptive as possible and plain old trial and error desu.

Anon, any GPU with 8GB VRAM is enough for high-res stable diffusion. 12GB and more is for future-proofing, though it can also give you more throughput as you can run more images in parallel.

>>42245957
Even a GPU with just 4GB VRAM is able to do stable diffusion at lower resolutions. I had an RX480 4GB, though SD impressed me so much I went out and bought an RTX3060.

If you're buying a GPU, stick to RTX cards, they're so much faster than GTX or AMD ones.
But especially the RTX3060 is a very appealing card. It has that unusual 12GB VRAM in a midrange package, giving it the best price/vram/perf ratio. I've seen it here as low as 250€ used. Makes way more sense than some stupid you-will-own-nothing subscription service.

It's a tool, qualitatively no different from computer-aided design in the late-80s-90s and photoshop in the 2000s. It's what you get out of it that's important. I care about the end result, not 'how much effort' goes into it. The whole point of any technology is to perform work (expend energy over time) more efficiently; that is, to do the same work for less energy.
If you want to keep on drawing with pen and paper, go right ahead (I still do and so does much of my family), but don't expect praise from me for slogging along on foot when others have joined the highway.

As I said it is a fun tool to use, trying various things to see what it can do.

In a way it's not that much different from browsing a booru, you type a bunch of tags and look at the matching results. You're not the author of any of those pictures, and some will look a lot better than others, but in the end you might decide to download a bunch of them or even post some in a thread if you particularly like them. They don't have to be the best ones, just the ones that catched your eyes. You don't want to take credit for drawing nor finding those pictures, but maybe someone will be happy to see them as well, just like you did.

People often enjoy sharing things they found when they appeal to them, even if they're not the creator of said things. I enjoy seeing and saving the pictures made by other people, from Pixiv, this thread, and other places, regardless of how they were made. Some look incredible, some look generic, but they all have something special and unique making them worth looking at.

Boorus are also filled with tons of human-made generic or even badly drawn artworks, and those can be appreciated just as much as the others. Sometimes even the most plain, basic, unfinished drawing can resonate with you, make you feel a certain way, and you don't even know why. It's still art, after all.

It was doomed from the start. Did anybody seriously think that this thread would survive without hostility from either side? Especially how the last thread ended and anons specifically warned against the dangers of creating a new one? You have actual anons like >>42248973 blinded into thinking their side can do no wrong and everyone else on the opposite side is some nefarious strawman entity.

It makes sense that they would seek to extend copyright laws as aggressively as possible and suppress any technology that threatens their market share. I don't think they want to completely illegalise it, only tax and overregulate it to the point that it it becomes a tool for the rich. And us criminals.
Not saying that Disney is the only company doing it (all the other Goycorps are probably going to jump on the bandwagon when they're told to) but they're the biggest candidate.
Either way I'm not that worried, it's not as if they can do anything about us pirating anime/vidya at the best of times anyway. All they risk doing is depriving their own country of a potential industry subsector.
