So, /jp/. As we all may know the strength of the border sealing Gensokyo away from the rest of the world is inversely proportional to how much the people outside its confines believe in what lives therein.
Now, suppose that this barrier will one day suddenly disappear and the youkais with it, as per the Touhou lore. This means the sole survivors will be the people at the human village, dirty peasants still stuck in a backwards feudal system not yet reached by even the most essential technologies.
How do you think will they cope with the outside world, which according to the unified canon theory is the same as Seihou (i.e. a futuristic world where mechs and spaceships are the norm)?

Very well, they'll adapt in a few generations. It's not like they're inherently dumb. The Seihou world, if it is so high-tech, could probably handle a bunch of immigrants.

I thought outside world was normal, Sanae being a high school girl and all that, Rinnosuke having gameboys in his shop, etc.
