To be fair this MG stuff is not as popular as it used to be, and the recent years haven't been good. Writers left or are on hiatus, art is still there but its more or less just some extremely dedicated waifufags who comm art of the same exact character.
Idk much about artists but some of them have a lot of MG stuff pre 2020's then the artist takes a turn usually more degen stuff not tolerated here, which I understand since even they have to pay the bills. Its like an open secret that unless you are way above the rest, you need smut and non-vanilla stuff.
Its understandable he threats it more as a side stuff than being full time, but still I can really feel the drought in the recent years.

I'm at fault too writing wise because I simply just don't have ideas how continue my stuff and art wise I'm just subpar.

Consider this thread for example and how it only likes the MGE aspect of monstergirls. That means no hard non-consentual rape, no violence, no MGQ, no weird fetishes (ironically), endless bickering over KC's autism, etc... You can't rebuild a larger community from just a single part of what it once was. It's a trickle up system. People find a general community they like, and as they get more invested in it, they move up the rungs until they find the niche sub-community part they like. Sometimes there will be crossovers between sub-communities, art and stories are created, the reach expands, more autists find the art and track it down to the source, inside jokes, art, comics, and memes are created, it all expands, and everyones happy. But here, it's all just become kinda stagnant. Not allowed to explore new concepts, storys, or plotlines, a lot of newfag creativity is met with hostility, excessive tribalism, etc...
Unironically I feel I see more of a healthy community developing in the /d/ monstergirl threads then I do around here. If MG-fags ever redevelop the community that once was, I really do think it'd come from /d/ long before /jp/. I love these threads, but it is very much the old man of mamonos. Monstergirls will never find their second wind from this place, as much as I love it here.

I mean most MGC stories don't even involve the Order or the pantheon of known gods. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a different setting with some MGE inspiration. Not bad, not quite MGE. The biggest difference would be the lack of mamono mana in most of those stories, although I will say I believe it's canon that it's not common knowledge in MGE; there's just plain old mana to most people without much distinction. It's usually depicted as a modern urban demon realm where the monstergirls have already won so to speak. And I'm not one of those frothing conflictfags, but what conflicts do canonically exist in MGE, don't in MGC. These are all generalizations of course, but those features remain fairly consistent in MGC fics.

It's harder to write in KC's world when you can just transplant the girls into a modern, familiar setting like our own world. That goes for fantasy in general. I think the most MGE accurate fics would be Perentie's stuff.

I've mostly browsed /mggg/ in the past and have only started browsing here recently but even though this thread's title is Monster Girl Thread all you guys talk about is MGE. I really like the girls and the central theme but the setting for MGE and all it's details are lame as fuck, it sucks balls. Adventures with waifu remain possible, but the MGE weighs competence towards monsters. That’s a hornet’s nest in itself. Furthermore, QoL is such an that adventures are superfluous — or at least not due to driving needs. Hence KC’s emphasis on tourism and sex research; quite the disappointing final frontiers.

A remainder exists, afaict, in pro-monster rescue & military operations. I’ve seen anons attempt such, but screeching and bitching is the resulting outcome. Reee /tg/edge lord reee, a common refrain.

A few anons push through and explore the canonical remnants, true enough, but what’s the payoff for them? This is 4chan, the feedback vacuum. Discussion will be at a bare minimum, if you’re lucky. The implication is that anons are interesting in any of that.

This format still works. The Serpent and Shoemaker and Viridian Ninja by Perentie is why I'm even here today.
