I liked ep1 Battler the best. He was logical, human, and above all he had a great "I won't accept this" reaction at the end. Now he's just screaming crap and crying.

at the end of ep1 he was just being irrational, he knew he couldn't deny witches or magic, but his family had just been killed that's why, normal Battler is eps 2-4 Battler

Yeah but I liked that reaction. It showed how strong his conviction that it was impossible even after being shown so much evidence. Whether it was a good or bad trait of his is irrelevant, it was a pretty entertaining sight.
