Wow, I was curious what happened to the site.

Dandy Girl's writer, here. I planned on releasing a final version of Dandy Girl on Friday, with FINAL edited script and whatnot, but the site doesn't seem to... Um, exist. Some anon posted a UNFINISHED released on VNDB, though, so I guess I'll post it there if the site doesn't come back up.

I remember glancing over the forums of that project. Some anon was trying to say it was barely a mystery story, and that it broke all the rules and that's why it sucks so bad. Not entirely bad points, although I can't remember them. One was like "the detective can't be the culprit," and that was basically the answer. So yeah.

/jp/ can't write romance. Hell, even Dandy Girl's writer isn't that good at romance.

En Bloc's characters were paper-thin and boring, and the story was stupid. If I could declare it in red, I'd say "A miracle will not occur, and this project will never go anywhere."

I hope Dandy Girl gets finished, but En Bloc deserves to be labelled a steaming pile of shit that will go nowhere.

However, it's not a mystery story. The 'mystery' is only a plot element. If you'd have to classify it as a certain genre, it'd probably come closest to utsuge/nakige. As /jp/ Project nears the 1-year anniversary of the thread that started it all, it's interesting to note how the times//jp/'s demographics have shifted. I guess most of the good people really have left or are rarely around. Or there's just a ton of sameperson posting in this thread.

I currently have two tasks to complete regarding the En Bloc project; one is to learn how to properly use Kirikiri and do the coding for the game. Learning the basics of Kirikiri shouldn't be hard, and I can't actually do much of the coding until the proper writing and art comes in.
The other thing is music, which isn't really just a matter of time - I make music all the time, if I could just create something for En Bloc whenever I made music I'd be done in no time. However, it's more of a matter of inspiration and experience - without the proper inspiration I just can't make the stuff I'm trying to make, and my lack of experience is a problem that can only be solved with time. The latest track I submitted (today), for example, relies pretty heavily on some stuff I've only learned in the past month. Before that, I've tried many times but failed whenever I did (and I think trying too hard on that was one of the reasons I completely lost inspiration for almost an entire month around December).

Anyways, we have no deadline. Slow progress is also progress and it isn't over until we give up. (And personally, I'm not giving up until it's finished.)
