Era games are a group of (usually) Japanese-developed text porn games.
They're not exclusively related to the Touhou franchise, but it's one of the series with most era games.

Run anchor.exe, japanese locale is advised so you don't run into untranslated text.
If you wish to manually update, delete old files aside the sav and dat folders to avoid any bugs.

You could try your hand at translating dialogue, there are guides currently in the TW folder (in #Translation) on what to do, not sure if it that folder exists in other games.
Another guide is:
1) Download an IDE. VS Code, for example.
1a) If using VS Code, install the EraBasic addon
2) Select UTF8 encoding
3) Open the ERB files and edit them
That way you can now edit files without much trouble.
The path for files to edit is usually the ERB folder:

You can also report bugs or typos here on the thread when you see them.
If you'd like to either edit or add your own portraits, the files are located within the 'resources' folder in webp format. You can use paint.net to edit them

Got a new release out, game has been finally optimized somewhat, wowee! Please ignore the stuttering while it tries to load Hijiri's sprite set, hehe.
The game version update was relatively small (no dialogue changes at all), but we got a new Sex Friend Agreement system, which is basically confession but for a different status instead. Seems more difficult somehow, unless you're sexing them often I guess.
Additionally, Sumireko has been translated, but you probably already know about the state of her dialogue. She kinda mellows out by the time you become lovers, and also it's the only time she'll allow you to fuck her outside of events. Dem's the rules of her autistic writer, not my fault.

There's exactly one way that I know of, but it's highly specific and I don't know if it actually works well enough to get your level down, since I never tested it.

That's not really an issue under normal circumstances, since it's all but impossible to raise player Desire naturally at a certain point; the xp requirements become ridiculous.
There's only really one mechanic (Ellen's events) that allows you to gain Desire ranks indefinitely, and I only got it that high because I exploited that mechanic relentlessly.
And even with my penalty, winning the Stone Stacking competition wasn't too difficult. It just took a bunch of attempts more.

Your opponents are little more than a predefined difficulty. It doesn't check against their stats or anything. Your partner in the couples division does have her Desire checked (and it's far easier to increase girls' Desire), but it's less of an issue there since there's more positive modifiers involved there, from what I could tell.

I saw a couple more issues with the Stone Stacking minigame, so I'm probably just going to put a cap on the Desire penalty when I fix those. Maybe link it to the Peace of Mind prayer to get some more use out of that WISEMAN buff.

Last time it was mentioned we talked about it letting the player hide parts of dialogue that are annoying or plain wrong in-game, like hiding responses that assume you're a normal dude but you're playing as a shota or a fat bastard. It could also do this for actual actions. Don't want her to blow air into your ears, tell her, she won't do that again. Though yeah, that would propably involve a lot of work, and will have to include things during sex or maybe even other events.
As for getting it removed, roll to let a hu give you some chocolate or a date gift to ask for forgiveness, but it shouldn't just be a free way of getting chocolate out of girls you don't give a shit about. Bunch of mushrooms and herbs with varying effects, one or a few would make you hallucinate, or give you drunkness, make you horny, heal your body or mind, and temporarily lower your knowledge/combat/etc. You can cook or mix them, and you can eat them raw.
Low knowledge + mixing makes mushrooms you find have unknown effects. Marisa or other knowledgeable characters will give you access to missing information.
Best to have at least one more alternative to getting high other than the forest of magic, shrooms tend to grow in a bunch of places. And don't forget to let players smoke them freely too. Can't believe you still can't drink yourself into a stupor by yourself in TW.

Adding those checks is relatively easy, the problem is the amount of checks that would need to be implemented. Some for where you live, some for your age, for your skills, etc. The ones that imply you are a rapist could be hidden under the [perverted] trait or something like that for example. But the problem is that apparently the japs didn't plan for this kind of stuff since almost every character with dialogue has things that would need to be checked. Not many are willing to put the effort.

Meh. The rewards are honestly really insignificant. Even the unique reward, the special book, doesn't actually do anything helpful, since it only increases the amount of affection points your gets get at birth, but since having kids with someone at Love already gives them enough to get the happiest reactions after they leave the house, it's useless to them. I suppose it gives a bonus for kids with sex friends, but I doubt many people even bother with that, and even then, the child affection still doesn't do anything meaningful.
Maybe if children are ever reworked the reward will be useful, but as it stands, it's almost completely pointless.

I'm also not sure if you really can reliably win in the early game, since the minigame relies on a variety of skills to get a good result, including gathering skill, cleaning skill, mixing skill, and the [Nimble-Fingered] Talent, and in the couples division, which those particular rewards are from, it relies on your partner's skills in those areas, too, on top of checking their aptitude towards each of the particular themes you need to succeed at.

Really, the game is only worthwhile for getting to fuck the cute Mizuko Attendant, but it's probably not worth all the effort to even reach that stage.
