"Adventure" is one of the broadest literary categories possible so it's super hard to nail down.
But just giving the main character an actual goal and/or struggle to overcome without it going into full grimderp territory is nice. I could list a ton of examples
>Hero deals with a reoccurring succubus knight that has declared herself his nemesis, despite her winning over him every time she won't leave him alone. Hero tries to figure out a way to best her by cheating or using demon magic/artifacts. Ends up being surprisingly effective even if he just ended up marrying her due to it.
>Castlevania ripoff where generations of a certain family is sent to stop a vampire from coming back. Turns out when the vampire "comes back" it's just the daughter of the last one and every time this is just a way for them to get a husband. Optional dhampir version where she wants to "save" her father.
>Anon accidentally summoned a high level demon despite being a super low level warlock and now has to deal with her making all the quests to easy. This one is admittedly a bit more on the slice of life side of things
>Anon is determined to defeat a dragon since that's what the hero's in all the stories did, despite him not being a hero. He eventually finds a dragon but defeats him easily. He keeps coming back/getting up until he gets a lucky strike in and the dragon admits defeat. Possible mere female dragon stuff or just her pretending to be defeated and clamming anon has her husband/priced treasure.
I dono, I could probably write a ton more but I'm not that creative. I also have one short story in mind but that's more of a 2000 word comedy story
