Ryou was the only female I liked in Clannads, I dropped watching the anime because there wasn't enough Sunohara and the rest of the girls sucked. Never read the VN, was tempted to read it for Sunohara's route and the bad ends for Sunohara where Tomoya turns gay and the other on Kyou's where you end up with Ryou.

I think we can come to a conclusion that all the girls were equally shitty, just preferences change things. That said, Sunohara was god tier and the entire thing should have been about him. It should have a gay route, a genderbent routes for each Tomoya and Sunohara, and a yuri route where they are both genderbent.
