I personally do not consider the ending of Arcueid’s route disappointing. The manga had already polished it to perfection. To quote the now missing line at TV tropes site: „The manga eats Arc's route and shits out awesome” (instead it now says “The manga trims down on some superfluous events from the original Arcueid route.”). But they should have added the epilogue of the manga, because it states them being together. Yes, not for long, since Shiki’s upgraded eyes might do him in rather sooner, than later, yes, Arcueid is still suffers from her bloodlust and Shiki must look for a special fruit to quench it, but they are still together and are happy that way. Perhaps we might see such epilogue when all the routes are done.

As for switching Nrvnqsr to Vlav, I think was justified. In my opinion it was done to show how dangerous and destructive a dead apostle can be to the people and environment around him or her. Huge collateral damage with many victims? Yes sir. Zombie apocalypse with not just ordinary familiars, but also mutated ones? Can do. Nrvnqsr, on the other hand, was, how to say it, too fixated on himself. In essence, he was just a pack of very strong and dangerous, but animals and didn’t turn people in his familiars. So yeah, dangerous but not good example of a dead apostle’s destructive force.

The new characters that didn’t add much to Arcueid’s route might receive more spot light in the following routes.

Getting to experience Arc's route again (for the most part) but with this stunning visuals is amazing
One of the biggest gripes I had with the original was that Ciel's route felt too similar to Arc's with only little that was added, which I suspect help to the case that CIel is my least favorite heroine of the game. So, I'm really looking forward to the changes made in her route that maybe, just maybe, will make me a Ciel fan.

The Noel Boss Rush mode is great so that makes up for the awful Mash Arcade mode. It’s easy to ignore that stuff as it doesn’t effect anyone in the Tsukihime cast besides Neco Arc so it can be ignored and is clearly set up for the FGO Tsukihime collab so it doesn’t effect the main Melty and Tsukihime story at all. We’ll be getting bigger Melty story eventually which will be deserving of criticism if it doesn’t step up.
