Hey /jp/,

I'm quite taken with this Miku figure here and considering a preorder. I've never bought a figurine before, let alone at this price, especially if it is just going to sit on my shelf/desk.

What was the first figure you bought? Was it worth it? Should I save my money for something else or just splurge? (it is a great looking figure after all)

I don't know of anything else, sorry. Buying from the US will probably be cheaper if the shipping is really cheap and they'll pay the import fees for you (assuming they apply), but you also have to consider that there may not any in stock and it'll take longer.

The way I see it is, I don't really buy anything else with the money I have. And for obsessive fags like me, it's enjoyable. The hunt is the best part, sifting through the various figurine sites, ebay, etc., to find the cheapest price, there's a sense of accomplishment attached to it then.

After looking at it closer I can see that the hair ends need more paint. You can only see it at an angle and up close.

I had many small non-scale figurines before her, but I don't consider them to be 'real' figurines. After Mikuru-chan I bought GSC 1/8 Miku and Rin, Alter 1/8 Haruhi, and Kotobukiya 1/7 Nono.

Preordered that VN02 mix Miku, along with 1/7 Watarase Jun.

Definitely getting the GSC anime version of BRS once her preorder opens.

Bought an Aeris model, which I never finished putting together, sigh. Bought a Siren resin statue, which was so-so. Bought Yuna from X-2 and then Melissa Seraphy.

I'd like to consider myself going towards better models and caring less about what they are from.
