I am sorry to intrude, and this is an odd request, but would any of you mind posting the foot of one of your dolls? I'm a 3d modeler/designer who has been admiring your dolls from afar, and I'm trying to understand the level of detail in these girls and their construction for a future project. Closeups of hands would also be appreciated, especially any detail of the finger articulation.

Alternatively if anyone could direct me towards anything resembling blueprints or joint diagrams, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hmmm, thank you for this- I had only seen chest mods before that leave the feminine hips intact, but this is a lot closer to what I'm looking for.

Yeah I should have gotten some dry ice. I bought a small fog machine hoping to put some fog on the ground for my Alice photo in the previous thread, but it just filled the room. Dry ice fog falls to the ground I'm pretty sure and would have created the effect I wanted.

There are some options. Option one is buy some 10% benzoyl peroxide acne treatment cream (or Volks stain removal cream) and put it on the legs. Wrap them in cling-wrap so the cream doesn't dry out, and then put them under a mild heat source and leave it for a while. It will take time, but the stains should fade or even disappear if you're lucky.

Option 2 is replace everything below the knee and burn the socks.

Option 3 is get a second body or set of spare parts, and keep one for shit you know will stain, and the other for when you want to show off the body itself. More expensive, but the peace of mind is a blessing.

In the future, stain-preventative suits, tape, and other products can help prevent this happening. Washing the things you get (if they're not too delicate) before putting them on a doll can also help with the color transfer issue- use a mild soap and rinse until the water runs clear. You can also soak them in vinegar to help fix (as in, keep-in-place) the color afterwards. Obviously for something lacy and delicate this won't work, but for things like socks, they can handle it.

Sorry to see this, anon, but don't feel bad. This happens to everyone sooner or later, and it doesn't mean you've done anything wrong. That's just life, and it's fixable in time.

The owner is a turboautist that gets super obsessive over what happens to the things he sells and is supremely self-absorbed about everything. Finding replacement/aftermarket parts can be almost impossible because Danny won't just directly sell anything. If he sells the parts at all, it's in gacha form where you pay for roughly $100 of random vinyl or frame parts, usually without the vinyl flash cut off. He also won't sell large parts of his catalogue to people who haven't already made two purchases at his store first, and will ban you from buying from him if you say anything critical on social media about his dolls (including stating that you got something genuinely defective,) or if he thinks you're buying on behalf of someone who's banned.

As for the actual dolls, they're cute, and some sculpts are nicer than others. The posing isn't great, I'd compare it to a DD2 body, but it's serviceable. Some of the faces have... extreme angles and can be tricky to work with, and since Danny is kind of obsessive about modifying his dolls, the custom faceup scene is a lot smaller. But they have their charms, and I have several that I've bought secondhand.

This is correct. I show up anywhere with my camera and people assume I'm working -- but that said, you don't need a DSLR to take good photos. You can practice your composition and posing and everything else with a phone and a flashlight if it's all you got -- my first real camera was a nintendo dsi, genuinely. Make the best of what you have and try new things, and you will improve naturally from those experiences.

clear plastic helps a lot, as do things like blankets and whatnot- take her for a picnic, for example. I keep a clear plastic shower curtain from the dollar store in my vehicle in case I'm going to have to lay down in snow or mud to take a good photo for this exact reason. You can also dress her in darker/earthier colors for the outing- she won't be wearing them for long if you change her when you come home, so the risk of staining is lessened, as I know that's always a concern for you.
